Find Out Who's Calling!

Have you ever experienced being worried sick because a number you have not recognized popped out of your caller ID land line phone or even on your cellphone? Or you noticed some unfamiliar numbers on your phone bill perhaps?

All these concerns are put to rest by a great site called 50statephonelookup.com. With their impressive Nationwide Phone Lookup service, one could already track down the source of those prank calls they received, or better yet, locate old friends from high school or college. They keep their records up to date so the information results you would get are fresh - - from the owner's name and address down to the phone carrier or line type.

The site is so easy to navigate, as they have categorically organized every information that they have.

When I Grow Up

Back when you were still small, have you thought of what you will be when you grow up? We may have a lot of ambitions we wanted to attain in our younger years and they are good motivators to pursue education.

So what did you aspire to be back then? Teacher, nurse, actress or writer? What are your reasons for such choices? There are lots of possible professions one could land to, and now I have become an accountant.

Being an accountant was not initially my wish to achieve. Back then, during my elementary years, I have thought of becoming a scientist, because I was curious about a lot of objects and I loved science. But that changed when i was in high school, when the thought of becoming a journalist crossed my mind. I had decided back then that i would enroll on mass communication for college, but everything did not materialize because my father did not allow me to. Instead, he suggested that I take up accounting so that I could be able to help him out on his accounting firm. Hence, my profession now...

But unfortunately, I was not able to help out my father full time because I got employed with the government.

I am happy with my profession now and it got me thinking that if i took up mass communications back then, how would I fare now? I really have no idea. I have always wanted to write (even now) but I just don't know if I could put up with the standards of journalism and broadcasting, since I am a shy type of person. And shyness has no place in that field.

How about you? Have you attained your initial goal? Or have made a detour?

Crazy About Disney.

The most watched channel in our television at home is no doubt The Disney Channel. The moment they wake up in the morning, they would immediately turn on the TV set and watch all the shows the channel plays. Even on the movies, my kids always look forward for any Disney movie showing on the big screen. I wouldn't mind them watching because I too loved their shows and it's a great bonding moment for me and my kids watching together.

We all have our favorites and that I would jot them down here:

  • Winnie The Pooh
  • Mickey Mouse
  • Kim Possible
  • High School Musical (of course!)
  • Phineas and Ferb
  • Zack and Cody
  • Wall-E
  • Totally Spies (this I like!!)
  • Mr. Bean
  • Shaun The Sheep
  • Beauty and The Beast
  • Hannah Montana
  • Enchanted
  • Ratatouille
  • Untalkative Bunny

So, what's your favorite? Do we have some faves in common? Well, Disney indeed has a lot of quality shows that never fails to entertain.......... just like this new DVD game from Screenlife, the Disney Bingo.

The Disney Bingo is a terrific game you and your kids aged 4 and up would love to play. It can be a two player or more, indeed a good game for everyone in the house! Aside from that, it is just like watching your favorite Disney cartoon characters. You get to interact with them in a sense while playing the bingo game. Look how fantastic could that be!

To treat your curiosity, here's a video:

Already interested? Well you should! This Disney Bingo DVD game is also available at amazon.com and drugstore.com.

Baby's Crying Moment

Week 15 is up at Pinay Mommies and this time the theme of the Weekly Fest is Crying Peeps. A picture of myself, or hubby, or my kids crying shall be featured with the explanation when and why it happened.

This crying scene happened this morning when my youngest son woke up and asked for a milk. I did not give him one because he have to eat his breakfast and drinking milk would take away his appetite. Hence, the crying...

I brought him to the dining table to have breakfast. But since he was already moody, he did not eat and continued crying...

Guide To Eliminate Fire Ants

For me, fire ants are one of the species that are annoying. Aside from the fact that they get on our food (especially the sweet ones), fire ant bites are stingy and hideous to look at. It has been said that they have already made its way here in the Philippines, and so it's about time to know more about them and learn some ways how to get rid of them.

At Control Fire Ants dot com, they provide great info about fire ants, where they came from and how to identify them. They also have the ways of getting rid of these insects and even how to treat stings when we get one. Ain't that cool?

Learn about fire ants now before they inflict pain on you and your family!

Online Job Offer

Guess I have to be a virtual assistant again huh! It has been a long while that I haven't placed an ad for virtual / online assistance or even applied for online jobs. The last time I remembered was about 4 months ago already.

Last week, someone contacted me at yahoo messenger and sent me an email message as shown below:

Right now, I am still weighing things if I could handle the job that he offered. Technically, it is just bookkeeping, that is no problem with me, but I worry about my time. I mean, I work from 8am to 5pm and when I get home, I do my blogging chores as well as check on the kids. I wonder if I could still spare some more hours for this job (about 50 hours per month).

Sigh! As what Lainy said in her post, wish there's more than 24 hours in a day.

Hooks To Decorate Home

Imagine viewing those Christmas wreath hangers and even mantle hooks in your own home, with those wonderfully crafted decors dangling below them. Isn't it a great thought? Our home is the most comfortable abode that we can have. No matter where time and situations lead you, the saying "there's no place like home" is constantly true.

Notice how bare this house is? Well, this is where we live at the moment and this is my parents' house. I have been a resident here for almost three decades and I loved it here very much. Anyway, this is an extension of their main house, which was built four years ago.

Now that our kids are getting mature, it is high time that we put some decorations around the house. Back when they were still small, it is hard for us to put some ornaments because kids would always lay their hands on them. We can put some boot racks and other functional stands on those spaces without any fear that the kids might trip over them while they are doing their usual running around.

Wrought Iron Haven dot com is just the perfect place to look for those stuffs for they got over 1,300 home and garden items. The site is greatly organized in such a way that one can easily browse through according to his or her liking, either by price or by product item. They value their customers so much that they offer free shipping on selected furniture items and a 24/7 online chat support.

What's more, they also offer great discounts when you get to their secret backdoor by clicking the comma in the line that reads "Our store now has over 1,300 house and garden items for you to choose from.", which can be found halfway down their homepage.

They also offer a 100% money back guarantee. Come now and take a look.

A Deficient Salesperson's Story

This story is about me.

I remember one time I applied for an online job few months back, before I became part of this blogging world. The ad said that they were in need of a virtual administrative assistant, to which I believed to have a job description of sending emails, making appointments and other usual stuffs one assistant are supposed to do.

Well, the employer contacted me alright, through yahoo messenger and so we had a few lines of chat until she asked me if I have a headset because she is going to call. Fortunately, my brother's headset was still functional during that time and so the said employer called.

I was so nervous during that night because it was my first time to talk to a foreigner over the phone. But somehow I managed to answer her personal questions and so I thought everything would turn out smoothly until she asked me for any experience I had with sales.

Sales?! I am not so much of a marketing personality to begin with. I have to admit I am inferior on that department and I usually struggle to find the right words to say to a prospective client. But then all I managed to say was that I had some little experience and I am willing to learn everything it takes to be good at sales. Thought that was about it, but the lady further questioned me something that has left me startled...

"How do you sell orange juice to a blind person?"

What kind of question was that? On my mind, that was so easy but when I figured out the words I have to say, I was lost. Yeah, how will I describe the orange color to a blind person, much more describe to him an orange juice? That I do not know. And it left me thinking until this very moment what the best answer would be.

So, did I get the job? You guessed it right...nah! Well, fortunately another employer hired me few days later and the whole interview thing about sales was all part of the past.

Hospital Gowns Out, Healing Threads In

It has been more than two years since I had undergone surgery, that is, when my gallbladder was removed due to gallstones (Cholecystectomy). I stayed in the hospital for about a week and all I wore during those times was a hospital/lab gown (with an open back, haha!).

To add, all my three birth deliveries were done in the hospital and so it was inevitable to wear the hospital gown, most especially during the labor and delivery.

I find it uncomfortable to wear a hospital gown. Maybe I still consider myself conservative, that I don't want to display my skin for my visitors to see. Or maybe I am just ashamed that my "chubby" body would be exposed. Aside from that, those gowns have no sense of fashion in them, which would make hospital patients all the more sick and cold. I just hope that hospitals here in our place would consider having healing threads as the official apparel of their patients.

What are healing threads? Healing threads are the dignified and comfortable recovery clothing that are to be used specifically during and after medical treatments. They are dignified in a sense that they are stylish yet functional - - a great alternative indeed for those thin and old-fashioned hospital gowns.

The Healing Threads were conceptualized by sisters Peg and Claire who were both diagnosed with serious illnesses and were forced to stay in the hospital. They started making four hospital gown designs with two pants styles, which were truly accepted and admired.

At HealingThreads dot com, great products are for sale like the The Original Healing Threads Casual (photo shown at the right). These clothing have an ingenious arrangement of soft closures in such a way that only those body parts that need to be exposed are exposed, thereby modestly covering the other parts.

So after knowing all these, I hoped hospitals would try them so that patients would not feel defective.

How Do You Eat Fruits?

So do you eat fruits? How do you eat them?

Just recently, I happen to read some postings on the bulletin board in our office. One article that caught my fancy during that time was about fruits and when to consume them. Usually, I eat fruits after meals, as a dessert.

Well, that was not right all along. Fruits do not stay long in the stomach due to its sugar content which can be digested easily, unlike the food we take during meal time like starch, fats and protein. So if we eat fruits after meals, they will be stuck inside the stomach because of the previously eaten food, and would eventually ferment thus causing discomfort on your stomach.

It is recommended that fruits be eaten on an empty stomach, so they will not be trapped inside as they are digested.

Well, this was indeed a great tip I learned about health and fitness.

Be Attached To Your Baby

There's just a magical feeling being close to loved ones, most especially with our babies. No matter how tiresome they may get at times, but their presence eases up everything even the heaviest anxiety that we have.

I didn't mind having three kids, and although I got tired most of the time looking after them when they were still babies, the whole experience was so worthwhile and fulfilling. And such fulfillment I owe it to those baby carriers that I had, where I was able to have them close to me even when I am out.

Disney's My School Rocks

This coming September 21 is the Asia Finals of My School Rocks, the largest inter-school dance competition by Disney. This will be held in Hong Kong Disneyland and four (4) teams have the privilege to compete with one another. Fortunately, Philippines has a contender and they are the Janssen Knights.

The Janssen Knights composed of five young ladies from the Holy Spirit School, namely Lyza Mae, Jessica, Czarina, Julia Claire and Krizia. Hope they could make it to victory and my kids are already excited to watch them. You can send them messages of encouragement and support here, just like what my kids did.

Other contenders for this wonderful event are YCH2 Dance from Hong Kong, Funky Crew from Singapore, and the BU4Girlz.com from Malaysia.

Craving...

I am very hungry right now. I haven't eaten lunch, that's why. Well, I am thinking of dining outside later and here's what I am craving for at the moment...

Siomai is a rare commodity here in our place. Well, not really rare but the good-tasting siomai here is rare. Hope I could have one for dinner.

Web Hosting

This blog is almost approaching its anniversary and I am considering of getting its own domain. Of course, everything is to be weighed in and that includes web hosting.

Right now, I am still in the phase of understanding web hosting, so that I will be able to choose which companies or sites offer the best services, as well as prices. That is no longer a worry for me because Web Hosting Rating dot com has the widest directory of web hosts, that have been rated by their customers. Their rating system is based on individual customers' views and comments in terms of satisfaction, affordability, uptime, reliability and support.

Aside from that, they have great articles for reference, which had somehow enhanced my understanding on web hosting.

Sports In My Life

I was not brought up as a sporty person. In fact, I was a child who just wanted to lie down and watch television or listen to music all day. Even on household chores, I was spared because I have cousins who lived with us.

My first encounter with sports was when I was in Grade 6, and somehow that became the turning point in my life to love the world of sports. It was our school sports fest and our teacher picked me as the captain ball of the volleyball team of our class. I was horrified at such thought but fortunately, my classmates taught me rigidly and I was surprised to myself that I have made it through. I remembered I even skipped a family gathering just to practice volleyball with my team. Every year since then, I played the game every sports fest until I graduated from high school. I stopped during college but became active again when I got employed because I belonged to a sports-minded organization.

In college, I got fascinated with basketball that I even spent my allowance on NBA cards, magazines and books. I knew all the game schedules especially those of the Chicago Bulls. I even skip classes just to watch their game live on TV. I kept track of their stats and was so delighted with their 72-10 record! Oh well that was the past but reminiscing about them brought some smile on my lips.

Now I watch some online sports videos whenever I get the time. It is such pleasure watching sports vids because you get to get some insights from the athletes themselves and observe their moves. I got to watch this video from SportsVids.com and thought of sharing it here.

Search For Any Mobile Phone Number

Do you want to have a piece of information on a certain mobile phone number, especially those that are annoying and bothering you? You can! At the ReverseMobilePhone dot org, they have a great endeavor for all, and that is basically the Mobile Phone Reverse Lookup.

The search is offered for free. Just type in any mobile phone number from any state in the US. They have thousands of numbers in their records.

Search now!

Generous PPP

Wow!

PPP has become generous today. As I opened my account and clicked on the open opprtunities button, I was so surprised to find a lot of opportunities for me. Unlike before, I usually could not catch those opps in time, if I do have one. They were already in gray color, which means they are all reserved. and the most number of opps I am qualified was only 5 to 8.... until now.

Well today, that is the number of opps that I am qualified to take. 27 opps but there were already some which have been grayed. Anyway, that is still so much for me.

Unfortunately, I could not take them all, because those 20 plus opps requires a lot of time. Given the fact that I do blogging only after office, or if I have some extra time, that would be hard for me.

But once again, a great thanks to PPP!

Marriage Records

People can now possibly view marriage records all over the US, thanks to USMarriageRecords dot org. They have a very organized archive and one can browse through them painlessly. So if you have some people in your mind you wanted to check, then feel free to access their online Public Marriage Records.

Their archive composed of a variety of records from county courthouses in the United States. Choose any state and they will be glad to deliver to you the results quickly.

Belly Dancing

What can I say? But this is my latest fascination!

I have already written about this few months ago HERE but that fancy has now become a fascination. I was so challenged upon watching the dance instructor in our dance exercise sessions doing her belly dance moves and I really was impressed how it made her body look great and slim, despite the fact that she is already a mommy too.

I have studied the dance eventually and I like it. Well, I haven't mastered the basics yet and I am still struggling to learn everything, but hey, I also found some great results too. Now I felt my waistline inching off a few. And just a mere 7 minute belly dance song could already loosen out the sweat within me, not only on my belly but even on my arms and legs. I usually drink Fit n Right before I do the dance exercise and it feels great doing the whole routine.

Here's a video that I play again and again over at youtube, while learning the basics of belly dancing. Enjoy!

How To Track Down IP

I do hope someone could help me on this.

You see, some psycho has polluted our thread over at the Pinoy Exchange forums. We have paid no attention to her/him but lately that someone got more intense and she/he attacked us personally already.

Can I possibly track down the IP address of that person and eventually know who he or she is? I guess that person really had a serious mind problem to begin with, and I am just curious to know and where he or she came from (by the way, that person claims to be in US, his/her posts usually were made around 12am to4am Philippine time).

I am a peace-loving person and I just hope he or she would be sane again. Haha!

Multiple Outlooks

Please take a look at the pictures below and determine the things you see. These are wonderful products of art and depict multiple objects in sight.

This is a picture of a park, with one person walking. But when you look closely, it has a form of a man's face.

This is a picture of a rocky mountain covered with snow, don't you think? But hey, have an intent look at it and you'll find horses too!

Wow! This face of a lovely woman is so artistic. And its features are made up of flowers and butterfly.

Well, that just goes to say that people indeed look at life in varied forms and views. We may be situated in only one picture, but we look at it on different angles. That is why people always have differences in insights which eventually lead to arguments and sad to say, even in the most intimate of relationships, those differences exist.

But whatever outlook we may have about life, each one of us should respect each other and try to look at it at another perspective, the way other people see them. In that way, differences would be lessened and harmony and love would take its reign.

Personalised Number Plates

Number plates are essential in every vehicle which should be significantly visible for everyone to view. It would then be cool if we put a little touch of ingenuity to our pride possession, and giving a personalised number plates for your car is just one good idea!

Northumbria Numbers is a great website that lets you search on their massive selection of number plates, as well as ageless car registrations. They even offer a few suggestions whenever you are stuck with any idea for your plates. Plus, they do not leave the paperwork for you to perform, they would gladly do them for you.

I Love You.

When was the last time you were told "I Love You" by a loved one, especially your partner? Or have you said those words to him/her lately?

Just received a text message from hubby few hours ago, and I can't help but let out a big grin. I just then realize that at this age of mine, goosebumps still exist, hehe. Well, he just texted me a reminder that he loves me so much. That's about it and my knees already weaken (exag!).

Giving reminders to our loved ones how much they are loved and cherished really gives a great impact. They are just words, yes, but LOVELY words indeed! They truly represent the spices in a relationship. They may be taken for granted at times but I know, they have the power to move mountains.

I was ashamed at first to express those words of affection but as time goes on and I realized its importance, I came to learn to say it.

Have a great week!

A Touching Family Story

Just want to share a touching story about a father and son. Read on and what can you say?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, May I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know.. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $10.00?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.
'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man.
'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10.00 you asked for.' The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.
'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.
'Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The father was crushed! He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness…. .

Wacky?!

Week 14 is up at the Pinay Mommies Community Weekly Fest and I am really thrilled for this week's theme, which is entitled Lucky Me! Wacky Me!

Well, here's my entry and just by posting this right now makes me dig up those sands and hide there forever!

This picture is taken last May 2008 at the Pandan Island in Palawan, where we had our annual national convention for government CPAs. With me are my officemates and we were instructed to do some wacky poses, hence this look. We really had a great time even though we had shortness of breaths after doing this (actually this had about 5 shots in a row).

By the way, sponsors for this week's fest are Beauty of Life, Money Maker, and Creations.

Online Casino

Husband is so fond of poker that he watches it on TV at any chance he gets. He said it is because the game itself is exciting and requires skills, aside from luck. I came to like the game also, and I enjoyed watching the celebrity Poker Stars.

Seminar on Gender Awareness

This whole week, I was attending a seminar conducted by our office which is called the Gender Awareness and Development. I should say that I learned a lot during the said seminar which will end tomorrow.

The seminar revolved around the difference among the male and female gender, and we were also able to watch an old movie "Kramer vs. Kramer", which was really a great learning process. Basic women rights were also discussed and I am grateful that now I am fully aware and enlightened.

I will share here my learnings in the future posts. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Halloween Ideas?

Costumes are wonderful pieces of apparel that helps us portray what we wanted to play. It is very much popular among the children and having great costumes would really make their days, especially at school.

My kids are fond of watching the television and it comprises at least half of their whole leisure time. Every time they see their favorite cartoon heroes and characters, they start to watch with glee and imitate them into actions. And what comes next? Well, they would ask me to buy those costumes so that they could really play those character parts in person.

A month from now, Halloween would be knocking on our doors requesting for its grand entrance. What good way to welcome such occasion but to organize a halloween party and get the ball rolling! Not only kids would love such party but adults as well, so it would be a great idea for an adult halloween costume contest, isn't it? I remember way back my high school days when we had a contest and everyone was busy looking for the best costume. Unfortunately, long ago internet was not yet available and so ready made costumes are so hard to find. We have to improvise old clothes to create the kind of look that we wanted, which was really time-consuming. Unlike now, everybody would get to attend a halloween party hassle-free, with halloween costumes readily available for sale over the internet, just like at Costume Cauldron. Imagine yourself looking like this the lady in the picture, without undergoing any fuss whatsoever on acquiring the costume. Loads of halloween costumes for adults, both men and women are available, with different themes or categories to choose from.

Sexy halloween costumes are available too, so getting noticed over the party would no longer be a worry. Whether you want to depict a kind-hearted sexy angel / fairy, or a wicked scandalous but sexy witch, they got the right stuff for you. For plus-sized individuals, they also got a wide array of costumes and even for kids. Accessories and props are also in their lists. Truly a one-stop online shop!

Spread The Christmas Spirit

Got this tag from Jhelea, wanting me to post about my wish for Christmas. Read on.

It’s so simple. Copy the photo below then write your blog and your wish this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF- LESS… something that money can’t buy… something that another person will treasure dearly.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children’s Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I’d be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I’d like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year.

4. Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasmtime, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren’s ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

5. life. love. family. work. travel: Christmas won’t be the same again for our family this year. my eldest sister and her family is migrating to the US. a few years ago, my elder sister migrated to holland with her two kids. my ate from holland might not come home this Christmas and would probably just spend Christmas with our ate in the US. i hope and i pray wherever we are, we will still feel the spirit of Christmas within our family. i also pray that my parents won’t get too much affected of this change. they’re already old and i’m afraid that loneliness might affect their health. i hope my brother and i and our own families could cheer them up in the coming days and could keep the usual happy Christmas spirit in our homes.
5. Me, Myself and I : I wish that I could donate something in a charity or for anyone who badly needs a help this year. And of course, WORLD PEACE!
6. In this Game of Life : I wish poverty will be alleviated to those who are suffering from it. I pray that kids all over the world, especially those who are supressed and abused to be spared from harm and sickness. And those who are affected of any wars will be spared from violence. We will continue with our yearly family tradition of spending time and our gifts to the babies and kids at Cribs Foundation.

7. Angel's Heaven: I wish I could sponsor a Mcdo party for the kids in Noah's Ark. I wish there will be no more orphans and all kids will be loved by their parents.

8. Complex Life: I wish the war in Mindanao would end. I pity those soldiers and rebels who lost their lives because of the chaotic situation there. I also pity the innocent people who are greatly affected. I wish we could finally live in a peaceful world.

9. Irresistible Fascinations: I wish that people would understand the true meaning of the Christmas season, so that peace and harmony would eventually follow.

Let me hear your Christmas wishes - - Honey, Guia and Liza.

Frustrated Loser

Why is losing weight so difficult? I am almost on the verge of frustration. It has been 5 months since I made a deal with my husband and only 3 kilos has been shed off from my body. I really envy those people who don't have to exert an effort in keeping their bodies fit and slim.

I went to dance exercise sessions twice a week, so that helped me sweat out and take off the extra fats. However, food is so hard to avoid! I am so much of a rice eater, so that would be really hard to lose weight. I hope I could finally muster my motivation and devote more effort in losing those above-extra pounds.

But how? Sigh!

I Just Want To Lie Down

Hahaha!

Well, who couldn't resist to lie down on this very delightful masterpiece? Count me in, guilty as ever! It is really a great creation for fun and relaxation and just by looking at it makes me let out a big yawn and fall asleep. Talking bout bein' lazy!

What else can you possibly do on this sofa? Let us count the ways. . .

Seafoods. . . Wow!

Everyone in my family loves seafoods. My kids would prefer to eat fish rather than pork or beef and for me that is a good sign. Seafoods have no complications for its consumers and aside from its sumptuous taste, it is also full of nutrients and proteins. With that, I am confident of their health now and in the future.

One favorite that my kids and even my husband would love to always have are the shrimps. Whether being cooked together with the noodles, vegetables, etc., they would never fail to consume them with gusto.

Well, talking about shrimps, there's this recipe that looked so much delicious I could hardly wait for hubby to try cooking it. The food looks so tempting and upon knowing that its main ingredient is shrimp, whoa!... this I gotta try. It's named Texas Gulf Shrimp, by Chef Mark Holley from Texas. This recipe is an entry to the greatest cook off contest at www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com and I would be rooting for this one. Here's the preview of the recipe's output:

Well, isn't that mouth-watering? If you think so, then join the fun and cast your vote to the great seafood recipes and get the chance to win a trip to New Orleans!

Ohhh..Stomach Pains!

It is still fresh in my memory how I suffered from a series of stomach pains two years ago because of gallstones and bile acid reflux. In fact, the pain was so overwhelming that I even underwent an operation (removed my gallbladder).

So, how do you diagnose yourself every time you feel your stomach hurting? A simple test will do whether you are suffering from excessive stomach acid or not. This can be done by swallowing a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice.

If the said vinegar or lemon juice takes the pain away, then it means your stomach has too little acid in it. If it makes the pain worse, then you have a very acidic stomach. Mind you, the pain is very excruciating...(well, I even preferred to undergo birth labor than acid reflux pain).

Stomach acidity performs at its best when a person is stressed. Another thing, taking aspirin and steroids could contribute to the formation of acid in the stomach. Alcohol consumption as well as heavy smoking could also be a great factor.
