Green Fashionable Eyeglasses

My all-time favorite color was blue, so much that it was my wedding's color theme eight years ago. But as the days go by, I became fond of the shades of brown and green, that every time I window-shopped, I am always drawn to racks with dresses of these colors. Don't get me wrong though, I still love the blue hue.

Since the theme of my brother's wedding is green and silver, this will be another opportunity for me to have a new green dress. With that, I am extremely excited, even though I know my appearance won't be very superb due to my plump figure. Sigh . . .

Anyways, I was checking on the new arrivals at Zenni Optical and was amazed to find a lot of green holiday fun eyeglasses! Well, I could just imagine my look when I would get to wear one of these below:

Aren't the glasses fashionable? They could surely be perfect as accessories. And if you think they are way beyond the budget, there are $8 prescription Zenni glasses available and are equally stylish too.

Bridal Bests

I was browsing the internet for sports apparel and accessories since our sports fest is getting nearer and nearer by the day. I was overwhelmed with lots of items and got confused which one to pick, considering that I have a tight budget, lol!

Browsing can really bring some amazement unto my senses and before I knew it, I was brought into the bridal kingdom. I was impressed with the best bridal prices the website offered, aside from the stylish and grand designs of their products. Plus, they also offer free shipping. I always have high regard for fairy tales and wedding gowns are just one sign of a good and happy ending, like the one below:

Now this makes me wish to get married all over again!

Women's Eyeglasses

I recently came across an online optical store and enjoyed browsing through their wide selection of products. The website is Visions King, and what I liked about the site is that I can have a virtual try on with their glasses by uploading my pictures. It's like I am trying the eyeglasses on, without having to go to the said optical shop in person! I even tried the eyeglasses on the right with Jennifer Lopez and here's the resulting look:

I may not have a bad vision at the moment but I really would like to recommend their items to most of my closest office mates who are in need of eyeglasses. The store has lots of eyeglasses with different materials, like metal, titanium, and plastic - - with different designs that go full frame, semi-rimless, rimless or eyebrow. Creating a fashion statement would never be a problem for people like them who have poor eye sight, haha!

Now I am excited to show this site to them this coming Monday. I am pretty sure they would enjoy trying on the various eyeglasses with just some few clicks, as if they have stepped into a real optical shop. They could have great savings when they purchase because Vision's King offers free shipping.

Sporting Needs

I am really excited for our upcoming sports fest. We are going to start our rigid practice this Monday, which would continuously be done until the actual event on April 28. What excites me the most is the opportunity that I have to sweat off my largely excess pounds, since we are required to jog daily for 2 hours, plus the actual games for the rest of the day.

One thing is worrying me though and that is my sports gears. Well, I have a pair of rubber shoes but they are already old - - I doubt if they could make it to the last week of April after three weeks of rigid practice. Again, this sports fest is another opportunity for me to buy a new pair, plus other sports stuff that I might need as I go along. I better ready a good budget for these, and maybe avail of some payday loans then.

And without further delay, I browsed through the Nike website and look what I found!

I really loved them and their colors matched! These two items already reached $165, so I need to raise about P7,500. Oh my! I am hoping I could get them sooner.

Fancy This Boots

I still have not gotten over the ballet flats that I have found in the internet recently. So I visited the website again just to take a little peek at my latest fascination. Unfortunately, after a series of clicks here and there, I stumbled upon another pair of shoes. This time, it's the Mike & Chris low boot in bark. Please take a good look below:

Whoa!!! This is pretty unique for me with its decorative buttons on the sides. This chic pair is part of the collections of Revolve Clothing. It has a leather upper with rubber soles, and a side zipper. At first glance, I admired it already but I was wondering the circumstances when I could get to wear it. The heels measure three and a half inches, really high for me but I would take the risk if I had too, lol! And since the shade of brown is a favorite color of mine, the boot's bark color just made it all the more appealing to me. I would like to imagine myself wearing this with skinny jeans perhaps.

How about you? Do you love boots? This would be a great addition to any fashionista's collection.

Ballet Flats

Aside from bags, I am also fascinated with shoes. When I go shopping (whether in the mall or online), I usually never miss out to look for the latest style on footwear. I mean, I don't have the feet that are to die for, and I still have to undergo lots of foot spas just to have their utmost presentability, but my heart just cries out every time I see new and stylish shoes out in the market.

Now my heart is aching again because I have seen this Repetto crystal-studded ballet flats online. This flats is from Saks Fifth Avenue, an already renowned brand of clothing, bags, and shoes. Its point toe is covered with sparkling crystals with contrast trim and bow. It is made of soft suede material, and its sole made of leather. And since I am not much of a fan of high-heeled footwear, this flats has surely found its way to my fancy. This would be perfect for any jeans or shorts that I would wear!

If only I could afford this, I would definitely have one. For the meantime, I have to save up and who knows, I may be wearing this lovely thing in no time. *winks*

Proudly Filipino!

I was browsing some great fashion styles at Stylehive.com and found this gorgeous Monique Lhuillier Wedding Gown. Aside from the graceful and astounding appeal of its design, what made me gasp with awe was the fact that the gown was actually created by the artistic Monique Lhuillier, who is a Filipino. Monique was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines and has always been fascinated by her glamorous mother's sense of fashion and style. Starting at an early age of 15, she left home for fashion schools, which led her to what she has become right now. Many celebrities have already worn her designs, and just thinking about that makes my heart swell with pride.

This ivory colored dress is made of organza, satin and silk. I liked its v-neck style because it goes well with the 'not skinny' ladies like me. Likewise, it is sexy. On the other hand, the over-all style is modern and chic, a representation of youth and maturity at the same time.

Now this is making me want to get married all over again. I wouldn't mind wearing this gown at all, lol! A lady can dream . . . haha, I wonder if hubby gets to read this.

Apparels at Wholesale

For some time now, I have been quite inactive with eBay. I have already bought and sold a number of clothing stuffs, which I enjoyed doing so in its course. There was one time I was surfing through some signature shirts and found them way too affordable than I could imagine. At that instant, I was so excited and an idea came to me that I could purchase lots of them and then sell it here to friends and whoever are interested.

This business idea is still thrilling me to the core and I am hoping I could realize it in due time. With that, I have to raise the necessary financial resources first. But on the other hand, I have to consider other options as well and find some superb sites that offer wholesale clothing. With the discount I could get from wholesale purchases, less finances would be involved.

I chanced upon Wholesale Fashion Square and was amazed at their trendy and quality selection of clothing. I found some wonderful shirts, jeans, dresses, skirts, sweater, and even wholesale fashion jewelry. Hmm . . . they even got plus sized fashionable apparels, which would just be perfect for me, lol!

Oh well, as soon as I could finalize my picks, I have to contact my cousin and ask if he could accommodate me by receiving my orders.

My Prom

I still have not recovered from the infliction Twilight has made upon me. I bet this will still go a long way, especially that the sequels to the first movie are yet to be released - - or even filmed. Anyway, Twilight has a lot of scenes that I fell in love with, and that includes the prom scene. Who wouldn't love a very romantic night with your loved one with a great music and atmosphere, right? Not to mention the wonderful prom dresses you get to wear for the occasion.

Watching the movie just turns me back in time. Well, I may not have a love life in my early years but my heart was not made of stone either. And I have to admit that the most exciting part of being a high school was the prom. It's been 16 years since I went to my first prom. This was when I was still a junior in high school. We did not get the chance to wear beautiful prom dresses because we were made to wear a gala (for uniformity, said our administrator). But that did not stop us from having fun, as we danced the night along with the favorite songs and tunes that we had way, way back. At least we were not having a competition then, as to who would emerge the grandest. I remembered very well how shy I was, especially to the seniors but I happen to overcome it as soon as fun and thrill were painted all over the venue.

Prom is only just around the corner. January would soon be over and before you know it - - it's prom night! I just can smile every time thoughts about the past come to mind. I wonder how I would like if I have just worn those classy prom dresses. Would I be beautiful and breathtaking? Haha, in my dreams! I could have worn something like this.

Well, I also realized now as I matured that we only get to experience those kind of things once or twice, so better enjoy them to the fullest while you're still there. Be the best of who you can be and wear a prom dress Jovani, if you must. The internet offers a lot of great prom dresses and prom advice, so I guess anxieties over these ocassions should be erased to thin air then.

Bride

I got married seven years ago, in the church. I remembered very well how radiant I was (well, not maybe on the outside but inside). But since the facilities long ago were not that impressive like nowadays, there were a lot of things I wished I had during my wedding which could have been very possible now.

Now that I'm on my 7th year of married life, hubby and I planned to undergo another wedding ceremony on our tenth year. Wow, I never thought he could still be that romantic but I simply liked the idea very much. That would be two years away from now since we will turn 8 years this year.

I am still contemplating on whether I have to be a dashing bride once again for that matter, or just be the plain wife I have been and grab this one opportunity to look gorgeous. As excited as I was, I came across some wonderful bridal stuffs and immediately got fascinated with them. Here are my favorites at the moment (and subject to change without prior notice, haha!).

Take notice that both are in contrast, with the first one looking very grand to project myself as every inch a bride while the second one is very simple yet neat and beautiful, depicting my journey as a wife but looking happy and contented after a decade.

Well, which one do you think is better?

New Wardrobe

Hopefully by the end of this month towards the first half of December, I am planning to get some new wardrobe for myself. My office uniforms are no longer pleasant to look at (plus the fact that they were not really stylish in design) and I got one of my slacks burned by the iron. Some of my blouses have gotten old while others were already large on me (geez, did i really lose weight?). I ned to have new clothes for office and maybe that is what I will give myself for Christmas.

So what kind of dresses will I look for? That I am still confused. I am still looking for the right styles for my physique, that is, my large frame. I have always wanted to wear dresses, but I always end up with jeans and tops because at least they cover the bulges of my tummy. But since I have already lost some few pounds, I will now dare to have those whole dresses.

I have already bought two dresses, but I think they are just for casual functions. And so, I am browsing further through the web on dresses that may possibly look good on me. It amazes me so much that there are a lot of clothing in style, but at the same time frustrates me every time I learn that such style will not match my large frame. Oh well, but I found some Women's Coats and there's no doubt that I will look good on them! Now I am being assuming but I am 80% sure that trench coats will give me the favor and they are indeed great for office.

See?

How about you? What style do you have in mind?

Michelle Obama: Best Dressed

Michelle Obama, wife of the Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama, was included in the Top 10 celebritites that were named as Best Dressed by the People magazine.

It was said that she was the first to admit of being a bargain hunter and well, everything has paid off. Her choice of wardrobe out from a mere clothes store has become a fashion trend for a while.

Joining her on the list are Rihanna, Fergie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway, Heidi Klum, Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes, and Charlize Theron.

Cellphone-charging Tie

Technology has gone a long way already and now have made an entry into the clothing and fashion industry. A team of researchers at the North Carolina State University have designed a way to incorporate technology and fashion by using digital textile printing in printing fabric that matches the pattern of the solar cells.

Using the "liquid stitch" method, the solar cells are then attached to the tie and could be greatly helpful in charging your cellphone. Coupled with a pouch, then you're off to extended talk time while on the go.

Read more about this brilliant idea at The Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Development at the North Carolina State University.
