Terminal Fee

Palawan is such a beautiful place. It is indeed a great place to relax, with all its natural scenery where one can find peaceful disposition, fresh air and exciting adventures.

But then, I guess, beauty is not handed over with all its perfect entirety. There seems to exist minor flaws that needed some room for improvement.

I got pissed with the lady who collected the terminal fee at the Puerto Princesa Airport. After I got my boarding pass, I immediately went to pay for my terminal fee, which is Php40. I gave her Php50, and she told me to give her the exact amount because she have no coins for the change. I said I have none, and so she asked if I have a Php100 bill so that she could give me Php60. Upon checking unto the contents of my wallet, I got a 100 bill and gave it to her, to which she gave me the 60 change in turn. I asked for the Php50 I gave her earlier but she just replied that I didn't gave her any...(what?!) I swear I gave it to her and as I checked through my wallet, there was no 50 bill in it. I was not able to argue with her anymore because there are other people who were also busy getting their terminal passes.

The amount may be minimal... but what really disappointed me was the act of the lady. God bless her.

Welcome to Me!

May 25, 2008

I am very happy to be back from being away for more than a week.

My trip to Palawan is a series of mixed circumstances, with sprinkles of fun, adventures, misfortunes and etc. But the place is a paradise, although I haven't got the time to really visit the major portions noteworthy to take a glimpse of (next time, I will really go to El Nido and Coron na...).

Well, I guess I have to stop here for a while. Have to spend more quality time with my kids. I appreciate your time and effort in paying a visit to my abode. God bless!

Away. . .

Again, I will be away from the blogosphere for more than a week, more or less 9 nine days.

The Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA) will be having its annual national convention and this year, it'll gonna be at Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. It has been very fortunate for me to be granted the authority to attend and it will be my first time to go to the said place.

Yeah, that's it. I will take a break from the internet world and unwind on the beautiful place called Palawan.
Gonna miss you all guys!

Castor Oil for Shiny Hair

May 13, 2008

Have you ever come across castor oil? Well, I came to know such liquid when I was hospitalized about two years ago for the removal of my gall bladder. I was made to drink it (and take note, at a very considerable amount) in order to cleanse the insides of my stomach so that by the time of surgery, everything is cleaned up. Taking it was one of the most difficult points in my life, having to muster its unpleasant smell, not to mention its unpleasant taste. I remembered so well the trips I have made from my bed to the comfort room just to give in to 'natural needs', but I don't remember anymore how many those trips were (coz I lost count then).

Castor oil indeed can cleanse away toxins. That is already proven as far as I am concerned. But castor oils can also be used to add shine and moisture to lifeless hair. Catherine Zeta-Jones gave credits to castor oil for her shiny and healthy crowning glory. They could be added to conditioners during shower or could be directly brushed through wet hair.
