On Finding Love

I remember very well how my office mate became excited for her single friend having a blind date. It turned out the the blind date was an employee of the agency we are auditing. The guy was nice, but I guess it is his nature being a tight-lipped person (is that the right word?) - - because he usually does not open up his feelings to the lady despite how obvious his actions are.

The girl is already over 35 and really wanted to meet her match and settle down, she is not getting any younger. She has been active in Singles for Christ (a Catholic organization for singles) for a long time now. All her batch mates have already found their sweethearts, to which she is most envious of. I told my office mate to relay the good news to her friend that Catholic Chat City exist in the internet world where all Catholics are welcome to meet each other and build friendships through chat rooms.

Hmm . . . let's see what the future of this lady in terms of lovelife would be.

Thank You Droppers!

Despite the hiatus, I am pleased to know that this blog is still visited by friends and fellow bloggers. It is an overwhelming feeling that even though how busy people are, this blog still have a fair share of visitors.

The past few days has been very busy for me, with so much occasions and wonderful events to attend to - - christmas parties, weddings, birthdays, etc. - - that I was not able to look after my blogs and somehow update once in a while. As of this writing, I am still busy, with no nannies to take care of my babies, with the New Year coming up in just a few hours (yippee, I love a New Year eat out!).

Whew! Enough on my ramblings about how busy I have become . . . but allow me to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who never failed to drop by and make your visit known, especially to the top droppers for December.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and have a blessed 2009 to everyone!

Holiday Eyeglasses

I am kind of feeling the anxiety all over me right now. My two nannies were all out to celebrate the New Year in their respective homes, so that left me to look after my three kids. One of the nannies (see pic on the right, together with my three piglets) asked permission to take a vacation of at least two weeks, because aside from taking a breather from work, she needs to rest her especially since she is complaining of being dizzy at times and blurred visions.

Well, there is no better explanation for what she is undergoing, so I told her that I would get eyeglasses for her as soon she comes back from her vacation, that is, if she will come back, haha! I planned to have her eyes checked and if proven to have some problems, then it is time I would get Holiday frames to go with the required lenses.

I will give her the pleasure of browsing through the wide selection of eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. They have wonderful quality frames at very affordable prices. Since my nanny likes the color blue, then I guess this choice would perfectly impress her.

Of course, I would still give her the liberty to choose. This might be my holiday present for her (grin).

Have a blessed Christmas everyone. . . and a fruitful New Year ahead too. Mwah!!

Taking Care of Your Hands

We do all our work with our hands. Whether we are doing a very physical task, or just simply blogging, our hands is always involved in the process. So, wouldn't you like to pamper it once in a while and give them a treat? There are a lot of services that offers the best treatment for the hands, but we can also do it on our own, right at the comfort of our abode.

Here's the basic simple recipe . . . and all you need is tablespoon of sugar and a lemon. Give it a try and here's how:

  • Pour about one tablespoon of granulated sugar in the palm of your hand.
  • Squeeze enough lemon juice from a fresh lemon wedge to make a paste.
  • Rub your hands together in a rotary motion, either clockwise or counterclockwise.
  • Continue rubbing. The heat of your hand will melt the sugar to become a candy glaze.
  • Work this glaze up and over each finger and over the back of each hand.
  • Leave the glaze in your hands for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse your hands with warm water. Pat your hands totally dry with a soft paper towel.
Due to some hectic schedule that I am in at the moment, I was not able to try this procedure yet. But I will. In the meantime, you can do so and see for yourself the results.

Number Plates As Christmas Gifts

Christmas is just a few days away and if you still have not made up your mind on what to give your loved ones, then there's one thing that is uniquely impressive to give - - number plates.

At Northumbria Numbers, they offer a great selection of private plates which you could easily search through their database with just some few clicks. And when you're stuck with ideas, they simply aid you with a number of suggestions.

And for Christmas, they provide number plates transfers so you wouldn't have a hard time undergoing through the processes just to give your Christmas gift in time - - both the number plate and tax disc!

Isn't that grand?

Got Sore Eyes

The past few days has been unkind to me because I got sore eyes. Fortunately though, it did not have the chance to become full-blown, thanks to the antibacterial eye drops that I used.

What I hated about sore eyes are the inconveniences they bring - - those watery discharges that eventually become some mucus-like thingy that blurs my vision, the redness and the sting, especially when exposed to direct light. I really don't have any idea if this is a common illness right now, since I could not pinpoint anyone who have passed this on to me.

Anyway, I am in the recovering period and in a matter of days, I am sure I would be back in shape. Happy Sunday!

Got Inflicted With Twilight Fever

Guilty as ever!

I am very much aware that the Twilight fever has been raging on for some time now and I must admit that I got inflicted with it too! I have already watched it twice on the theaters and tonight, I am going for my third, together with my close office mates.

I haven't read the book yet when I saw the movie. And right after, I was determined to read the novel to understand the whole plot further. Fortunately, a very kind person sent me the four ebooks of the Twilight series over email and so there was no stopping me, lol! I have even managed to read New Moon (the second of the series) for only about 9 hours. I was already so engrossed, maybe that explained why I haven't posted much on this blog last week. Now I am reading the third book, Eclipse, and I am more than halfway.

Oh well, talking about Twilight releases all the excitement within me. I just love Edward and Bella.

Personal Fund Management

I received an office order yesterday with an instruction to attend a seminar on Personal Fund Management, which would be in line with our office's Gender and Development Awareness Program. This was something new to me, since all our seminars being conducted are work-related. This time, it is about personal finances but I am thankful and glad for this.

We are 50 in the said office order being directed to attend, which would take place tomorrow - from 8am to 5pm.

As my thoughts lingered on what the seminar would be all about, I tried to understand what fund management really meant and how I could apply it in my personal life. I have been through that phase in my life before, when there was no other way I could think of. I am glad that I now have a reason to breathe, although I am not yet completely over with that phase yet. Since we are all living in the world of crisis, it is difficult to make ends meet and so we resort to avail on debt consolidation loans. The moment when every solution seems to be so far away, debt consolidation is the most logical alternative to take.

So how do we go about the debt consolidation program? I am yet to learn every thing about it and hopefully this would be included in the discussions during the seminar.

Christmas Gift Idea

There is no denying that Christmas is the happiest time of the year. It is the time when people never bother to care about their economic status, or worry through their problems. It is the time when each one of us thank the Lord for everything, especially in sending down His Son to save us. It is the season to be jolly, so we are left with no choice but be merry and joyful amidst crisis and worries.

Well, have you felt the joyous season yet? On my case, I surely do and I am pretty much excited to shop for items that would be perfect as gifts to my loved ones. My kids would probably get new wardrobes and shoes. Of course, Christmas wouldn't be complete without new toys, so better check check out some great toys too. For hubby, well, I was thinking of giving him a wallet. Not that he has lots of cash to put it to, but he already have lots of ID cards and so a wallet would help him organize them. Plus, there's no effort needed in finding the best wallets over the internet. They are very much easy to find, especially at Stylehive.

He has already told me what his Christmas gift for me would be, but I haven't told him yet what was on my mind. Anyway, I am a hundred percent sure that he would love my gift idea.

Music Monday: Sailing

Last Monday, I was not able to join the Music Monday because I was on a trip. Well, I went with hubby to a nearby city four hours away from ours, to watch the live concert of Christopher Cross. It was my first time to watch a concert coming from a foreign artist and I am really glad that I did! I like the songs of Christopher Cross and he has such smooth and soft voice, which has never faded across time. Watching the concert was just like listening to his CDs, the voice was still all the same.

My most favorite Christopher Cross song is Sailing, hence, my feature for this week's Music Monday.

Enjoy!

Acne, Acne Go Away!

Long before I gave birth with my three kids, my friends and acquaintances have always admired my fair skin. It has been very much of a compliment to my shiny and glorious hair back then. Sigh. . . those were the days and it is just frustrating to think that they are over now, or are they?

Aside from the problem with my hair, I also was having a hard time figuring out some ways for an acne treatment. There's not much success really and if only you could see my face at this moment, the adjective "smooth" is far from the description. Some of my friends say that i may be allergic to some chemicals I put on my face, but I really am not fond of wearing make-up so that is out of the question. I guess all these small circles growing on my face are due to the fact that I sleep late at night. Oh well, whatever the causes are, I have got to search for acne treatments that work so that to resolve this dilemma.

Without a doubt, the internet has a lot of sites that offer acne treatment reviews. I should be lucky when I find the best solution for my face very soon for Christmas!

Pacman Won!

The whole of Philippines stood still as every Filipino watched the fight of Manny Pacquiao against Oscar Dela Hoya, which has wrapped up just very recently. And I can very seem to tell that all are rejoicing for another victory coming from the number one pound for pound king of boxing.

We were pretty much excited to watch this fight, so excited that hubby cooked lunch early so that we could have it before the main event takes place. True enough, right after lunch, everyone in the house were already glued on the TV sets and there was no wonder what was going on their heads.

My heart goes out to Oscar Dela Hoya. Hubby said he was such an exceptional boxer, but he wondered how come he is not himself today...hmmm. Oh well, we liked him too because of his good-natured personality. And one more thing, I almost couldn't stand the sight of his beautiful face being punched and turning blue.

We salute Manny for another job well done! He is indeed a great boxer! Congratulations and thank you for marking another glory for the Philippines.

Web Hosting Pal

The Roicynatics, where I am one of them, is planning to put up a website of our favorite tandem (Robert-Saicy). We already have an exclusive forum but unfortunately it still has no own domain name. We have so many pictures of the couple, courtesy of the various mms messages, as well as screen captures from the TV. We found it necessary to put up a gallery within the website so that we could be able to display what Robert and Saicy are like as individuals.

My friends were not that internet savvy as I am, and so I was left with the task to look for the best web hosting sites that could cater to our concern. Luckily I have found the Web Hosting Pal, a great guide on choosing the best web hosting services. They are willing to offer information on where to host multiple domains with just a single hosting account. I was really amazed with that idea and we thought we could also put up individual sites for Robert and for Saicy.

Well, at web hosting pal, they provide guides for beginners about web hosting, domain name, email hosting, and so much more. They have listed up some of the most reliable and the best web hosting providers all throughout the web and have ranked them accordingly based on reviews and other factors.

We are truly excited for this endeavor of ours and hoping we could realize it soon(wink!).

Tired of Climbing The Stairs?

One reason why most of people don't come too often to our office is because it is situated on the third floor. The office of our audited agency has three storeys and we were unfortunate to land on the uppermost floor. Anyways, it is the most logical place to be in since our job requires confidentiality.

I have been assigned to audit this certain government agency for more than 5 years, so I am already used to going up and down with the stairs. In fact, I owe it to these stairs that I was able to have normal deliveries with my kids. I got enough exercise just by walking up and down, especially when I needed to interview some employees, or inquire about transactions.

However, being a little overweight that I am, I always get shortness of breath every time I get to my table. Even the employees of this agency avoid coming to our office as much as possible because they're already out of breath as soon as they set foot to the office, haha! Well, I don't blame them really.

If only I have the courage to suggest to the agency head to install a Stair Lifts so that climbing up the stairs going to our office would be an all-ease experience. I could just imagine those pensioners and retirees doing inquiry with our office smoothly go up to us through those pieces of helpful and innovative lifts. Not only my office mates and me would benefit from the stair lift, but also the agency's employees and clients, guests and visitors. Plus, all the people's safety while using the stairs is very much assured.

Stay Safe with Stair Lifts

This is also very convenient to use, both with the AC and DC power. So, even when there's no electricity, it could still function through the use of batteries. Isn't that grand(wink)?

Tips On Hair Loss

From the start, I was always vocal with my hair problem. Aside from its dry and brittle strands, I am suffering from hair loss and it is so frustrating to see my hair go off every day.

Lots of people have offered me suggestions and tips and so far they are all great. But as I was browsing through the internet, I found a wonderful website that displays more than a handful of information about this awful hair problem. I was even enlightened with the tips they provided to avoid hair loss, which are as follows:

  • frequent aerobic exercise
  • avoid being stressed out physically and psychologically
  • drink lots of water
  • consume healthy and balanced meals
  • slow down on cholesterol intake
  • use sulfate-free shampoos
  • when using conditioners, apply directly on hair and not on scalp
  • use cold water to rinse hair
  • use wide-toothed comb on wet hair

Great tips huh? Well, they also have a variety of reviews on Hair Loss Products that supplied me the ideas on which products or treatments to choose. These products were even ranked accordingly and so the readers will never have a hard time figuring them out.

Watched Twilight

I watched Twilight today and it was such superb! It's been more than 4 hours since I went out the theater but I still have not recovered from the mania yet! I instantly fell in love with the main characters - - Edward and Bella. I haven't read the book yet and now I am intending to do so (the problem is, I do not know where to look for the book).

The actors were also great, and in fairness, Kristen Stewart is really pretty. Watching her face was not a bore at all. And Robert Pattinson, well what can I say? I usually do not go for his kind of look, but he was a total hunk in the movie! It is not difficult to fall in love with him. I guess they have great chemistry together and they really made me giggle with matching goosebumps watching their romantic scenes.

Talking about their scenes together, my favorite was when they started to go to school together and the other kids at school were awed by their sight. I just found it really sweet and brought me back in time, haha! Have you seen Twilight already? What was your favorite scene?

I am definitely going to watch this again.

Package From U.S.

Yey! My cousin sent me a personal message over at yahoo messenger that he has already sent me the vitamin supplements for the kids and it should arrive here in a matter of two weeks. I was glad that the DHA Junior would soon arrive as I find it helpful for my son's development, especially for his attention focus. I guess this package from my cousin is just in time since my son's check up revealed his being at risk with ADHD.

What made me more excited for the package is the additional items he included in it. He also sent some Dove dark chocolates (yeehah!) for us and other food supplements for my parents. This cousin of mine is quite close to my father since the latter supported him financially in his studies long, long time ago. Well, he sent his regards to my brother and promised to search some American ladies for him, haha! But for the meantime, he is sending a wonderful 5.11 Tactical Pants for him because he believes it would definitely give comfort for my brother for engineering tasks, like this one:

Oh well, I am counting on the days . . . Have a great weekend!

A Developmental Pediatrician's Diagnose

I brought my second kid to the developmental pediatrician yesterday because I finally got an appointment. The pediatrician is not from our place and she comes here twice or thrice a year only, so getting to the list of patients for developmental evaluation is not easy.

Well, the moment I have been waiting for finally came and I was quite delighted that my son would be the first one to be examined (that meant I won't have to wait very long). The evaluation went out smoothly and much to my relief, the doctor's diagnosis are as follows:

"Mixed Receptive and Expressive Language Delay, Mild with Heightened Level of Activity, Inattentive and Impulsivity . . . at risk to develop Attention Defitcit Hyperactivity Disorder"

Not that I desired this kind of findings, but I was worried before that my son may have some signs of autism, as what the occupational therapist previously observed.

The doctor listed out some things to do around the house, to control my son's restlessness and impulsivity. Likewise, I have to constantly correct his articulation problem to improve his language and speech skills. She further added to expose my son to lots of familiar objects to enhance his vocabulary.

Whoa! Seems like a tough task for a mom like me. I am afraid ADHD is a lifetime condition, so guidance and support is much needed by my son.

On Airbeds and Mattresses

My kids really loved to jump up and down the mattresses, especially my youngest son. Well, I couldn't blame them because when I was a kid I also used to play around my parents' mattress. Even when I was already in high school, I remembered my father bought us an air bed, to which my siblings and I would play on. We were scolded when he found out that the air bed was damaged.

Maybe that was a lesson learned by my father. If he could only bring back the time, he would have researched for the best air beds first before he got us one. Since there was no internet available long ago, he was not able to get the important online information he needed.

Music Monday: Better In Time

This is a new song (well, not really that new, but it is released a little bit recently) by Leona Lewis. I heard this song over at yahoo music launch cast and instantly fell in love with it! The song was a good music piece for a contemporary dance too, and so I could not resist of sharing it here on Music Monday!

I am posting here a Better In Time video, but this time, it is performed by Boyce Avenue. Well, I must say I am one of the copious subscribers of the band over at Youtube and was ecstatic when i found out they have a cover of song!

So if you like their version, you can always watch them at youtube. And if you also like the song, here's the lyrics and sing along with me.

(Ooooh)

It's been the longest winter without you
I didn't know where to turn to
See somehow I can't forget you
After all that we've been through

Going coming thought I heard a knock
Who's there no one
Thinking that I deserve it
Now I realize that I really didn't know
If you didn't notice you meant everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'm gon' be ok

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

I couldn't turn on the TV
Without something there to remind me
Was it all that easy
To just put aside your feelings

If I'm dreaming don't wanna laugh
Hurt my feelings but that's the past
I believe it
And I know that time will heal it
If you didn't notice boy you meant everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'm gon' be ok

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

Since there's no more you and me
It's time I let you go
So I can be free
And live my life how it should be
No matter how hard it is I'll be fine without you
Yes I will

[Chorus: x2]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

Enjoy the rest of the week guys!

Our Bachelor's Pad

We had a 6-doors pad for rent just beside our house. Since our lot still has an extra space, my parents thought it would be best to put up a bachelor's pad. In that way, extra income for extra expenses would be derived. It is amazing how pads or even apartments earn considerably nowadays, and lucky for my parents they never ran out of tenants - - well, until now.

One tenant moved out few days back. She lived at door number 5 and was a government employee. All I knew about her was that she was married and that her husband was working out of the country. The reason she moved out of our pad (and practically resigned from her job) was because she will join her husband at Washington DC.

I always feel envious of people going to other places for good, and happy for them at the same time. Knowing that this tenant of ours is off to a great place like Wahington DC, I bet my whole life that they will have the best of everything, including cars. Wonder if they will be going to buy a car there, particularly a Mercedes over at New Mercedes DC . I guess they would, as life in the States is pleasant.

Wishing her good luck in her new environment.

Car Connection

Just when will I ever know how to drive? I really wanted to learn and enroll for a driving class but my schedule wouldn't let me. I know I should give this some amount of priority but I guess there are just some things that hinders me.

Last month, I tried to drive our car, but unfortunately I hit our gate. At that moment I was so nervous that my father would scold me for it. Anyway, he understood the situation and since the car was already old, it was not really a bother for him. He even encouraged me to practice more so that by the time he gets a new car, I could drive it with utmost confidence.

Hmmm... at his mention of buying a new car, I got excited and browsed the net for great car models. The browsing turned out to be enjoyable as there are indeed many new models to choose from. I was ecstatic as I saw those sedans and two door cars at www.thecarconnection.com because they are my dream cars eversince. See the car below? For me, it is just perfect!

Hubby joined me in browsing through and really liked the SUVs just like the one below because it is best for us and the kids.

Well, as we go over the reviews made by experts, it is really hard to choose which one would suit best for the family. Anyway, I have a year to practice driving before my father would venture to another car purchase, yay!

It's not bad to dream big and who knows, by God's blessing we could have one of these sooner than we thought because anything is possible.

Diether Moves To GMA 7

I was very dismayed with this sad news for two reasons. First, I am a true blue Kapamilya therefore I will miss seeing this handsome face again. Oh well, I will just have to rely on website pics, tabloids, magazines and youtube videos then, just in case I want to see him.

Secondly, I will miss his tandem with Kristine! I am a big Diettin fan to begin with, and until this very moment, I am still hoping they would be reunited again on television or on the big screen. Sigh, I guess that won't happen anymore since they are no longer in the same network.

There's nothing more I can say for Diet but good luck on this big switch. Mwah!

New Jersey Homes

I had a great chat with some of the fellow guests who were invited during the birthday lunch last Tuesday. Since the celebrant was a retired official of our office, most of the guests were retired employees too.

It is amazing to hear that they are having a great time as retirees. They worry about nothing, since all their children have their own families and lives. They receive their monthly pensions intact and one of them plans to follow her daughter to New Jersey. The daughter has married a Filipino, but of American citizenship and right now they are undergoing the necessary processes of going to the US. She said they are set to go by December, well hopefully.

Her daughter is very much excited to join her husband and has many plans as she is going to settle to a new place, New Jersey that is. Of course, they will be getting a house, so she checked on the Real Estate New Jersey website for some information about the place. She was stunned to find out that lots of houses are for sale and some are just affordable. She enjoyed browsing through the many pictures and but got confused which one to pick because she find them very beautiful. Well, she will let her husband go over her picks and ask for opinion.

Anyways, it is such a pleasant story to hear about people going to the States.

Weight Loss Competiton For Fat Pets

This news tickled my funny bone, but I really find it cute.

Eight of the fattest pets in Great Britain joined on a 100-day diet and fitness regime for their conquest to the Pet Fit Club Championship. The contestants, composed of seven dogs and a cat, were all more than 30% overweight and have a combined total weight of 421 pounds. They were carefully picked by the organizers of the contest, the veterinary charity PDSA. They will undergo diet and fitness programs, in order to achieve their ideal weights, which means they have to lose at least 163 pounds total. Ohh, the cat on the right surely is such a stuffed toy, but really needs to shed some pounds, tsk...tsk...tsk.

The winner will be determined by identifying who lost the biggest percentage of weight.

Well, good luck to these pets, just as I am saying good luck to myself on my weight loss endeavors.

Color Your Hair

One of my office mates had her hair colored and we were having fun teasing her. Actually, it really looked good on her, which made us think she must be in love! Since I find her looking good with hair coloring, I also thought to doing it on my hair to get rid of the 'white' ones. I am inheriting this unpleasant white hairs from my ancestors and it is really annoying me.

I am overly excited to undergo hair color, maybe hair highlights would be a great idea too! Oh well, guess I have to gather some hair color ideas first so that I would really know what to do with my hair. It is just timely too since we are having a new Regional Director and we are going to have a welcome party for him on December 2, haha! I should have my hair done before that day then.

I would love to have this color, just enough to cover all those white hairs I have and look stylish at the same time. But I am open to other suggestions as well (as if!), as the case may be.

So how is one's hair being colored? Here's a video to show us how.

My Oatmeal Diet

I was planning to have a diet that will be purely oatmeal for this whole week to see if I could really lose weight. I will not be eating rice this time, and avoid the oily and fatty foods. I was not really fond of oatmeal before, but since they have produced new flavors, I find them tasty already even my kids love them especially the banana-honey flavor.

I started this activity last Monday and so far, so good - - until yesterday's lunch.

I was invited for a birthday lunch and boy, I realized how much I missed the real meal after only a day of deprivation! I ate up with all gusto ( I can't help it, the food was overflowing...), leaving me so full I could hardly move.

Anyway, all the overeating I made during lunch was also put to good use since I did not felt hungry in the evening, hence I only drank plenty of water. Haha, my bad!

Music Monday: All I Want For Christmas Is You

Yey, today is Music Monday again. For this week's MM, I would like to share the Christmas song by Mariah Carey called the "All I Want For Christmas Is You". i simply loved this song because its melody is very jolly and I could really feel that it is Christmas. It made me more excited about the coming Holidays!

Enjoy the song and the video guys!

And the lyrics!

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas
Is you...

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you...
You baby

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
You...

All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me

Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want him for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is
You

All I want for Christmas is you baby
[Repeat]

Flawless

Most of my friends often tell me how they like my legs. They said they are flawless in the sense that they don't have hair. I never bother to wear stockings anymore everytime we get to wear short skirts or the like, because I am confident there is nothing to hide and worry about.

Ooppps, this post is not about to brag about my legs. I am just thankful that I am blessed in that physical aspect (but not entirely, they are a bit plump since I am a chubby person). There are other parts of my body which I am not very happy about, and that includes my underarms.

Aside from its (a little bit) dark color, I am annoyed with the hair that grows in it. Many have already suggested that I undergo permanent hair removal but I was apprehensive at first. I hate it every time I shave because they seem to grow rapidly and before i knew it, I have to shave again. I realized I have to heed on their suggestion and so I browsed through the web to learn more about hair removal. I admit this is something new to me and that I have to think about it a lot of times, but as soon as learn about the laser hair removal, well maybe I should give it a shot.

Here's a sample video on how it is like to undergo hair removal:

Trouble Caused By Dengue

I have mentioned in one of my previous posts that my brother in law got sick with dengue two weeks ago. He got confined in the hospital for about 10 days. He is my hubby's youngest brother and so, as their eldest, he was the one who got busy in looking for blood donors and processing of the hospital documents.

I realize that undergoing blood donation requires a large sum of money. In my brother in law's case, he was required to ready at least 5 bags of blood, hence, from 5 blood donors. Each donor is asked to pay for Php2,400 or more ($50), for the blood and physical tests if they are qualified to do such donations. See how troublesome this dengue fever is? That alone is already a whopping Php12,000 out from the pocket. Of course there are other laboratory examinations and medical activities being performed which made the hospital bill reached a huge sum of Php70,000 ($1,450). Whew! My brother in law was so worried, but nevertheless he got the idea of availing some payday loans so he could clear up the bill. Hubby also offered to help a bit and that lightened him up.

There is one thing though that made a positive effect on him after this dengue phenomenon. He lost weight (since he was a bit flabby before). Haha!

Family Get Together

Hubby promised the kids for a swim at the swimming pool but unfortunately, my youngest son's stomach was not cooperative, so we ended up at Jollibee. What made the plan all the more impossible to push through was the bad weather (it was said that another typhoon is coming up and it is signal no. 1 in our place).

Anyways, they all had fun at Jollibee, where they get to play around at the play corner. All the three kids were so overjoyed and I could really sense their enjoyment in everything that they were doing. The disappointments they have felt earlier have been vanished to thin air the moment they entered the food chain.

There was one problem we encountered though, the parking space. Hubby already parked the car several meters away from the diner. Since it was raining hard, it was difficult for us to walk through the pathway from the car to the food chain. The children got a little wet and their bodies are just so sensitive to such forces they might get sick now.

If only this place is like London or Manchester, then there wouldn't be a problem at all because we just have to rent parking spaces and maybe we could be able to park just in front of Jollibee. Hubby was awed when I told him that UK has such online services for parking space rentals, with over 15,000 parking spaces and garages available for rent.

Despite everything, we came home safe and sound.

To Shop Or Not To Shop

I have so many things on my list to buy for Christmas. Well, it is not really a long, long list but considering my three kids (with two of which are in school), there are a number of items that need to be bought. Christmas parties could not be avoided in the schools and so I have to buy them new dresses and shoes, gifts for their teachers and classmates (exchanging gifts). Aside from the schools, parties are also held in the offices and our office is no exception to that. Again, this entails new stuffs for me so I will look good, geeez.

To add, there's a wedding coming up and hubby is the best man! That means a new wardrobe for him. Both the bride and groom to be are his office mates. In fact, hubby will sponsor their wedding cake because he has made such promise long ago.

My, I have no idea if I could save up some money to meet those demands on the list. Guess I have to avail some cash advance then so I could buy my kids' stuffs. I really want them to be happy this Christmas and not be left out by their friends and classmates.

Gotta finalize my list then! Have a great weekend.

Letter Puzzle

Hubby and I were having fun with this text message he received from his office mate. It is a puzzle concerning letters wherein we were required to fill in the whole word the letters represent. Well, it made us think hard for the answers and after some few minutes or hours (we haven't noticed eh!), it's all done.

I thought of sharing it here too, for those who are fascinated with letter puzzles. Complete the phrases given:

Example: 24 H in a D
Answer: 24 hours in a day

  1. 7 D a W
  2. 2 W of a B
  3. 9 L of a C
  4. 3 H of a C
  5. 12 M in a Y
  6. 9 M of P
  7. 8 T of an O
  8. 7 D S
  9. 10 Y in a D
  10. 28 D in F
  11. 7 C of the W
  12. 10 C in a M
  13. 366 D in a L Y
  14. 7 W of the W
  15. 6 S of a H
  16. 60 S in a M
  17. 26 L of the A
Try to answer them. It is a great exercise for the brain, haha!

Thinking hard? Well, don't take it seriously and just have fun!

I Want To Have A Hair Cut

I have mentioned in my earlier posts how bad my hair is getting nowadays. It has become dry and brittle, aside from the fact that it falls at an ample amount. I planned to do those treatments too and while I am at it, I am also thinking of getting a hair cut. No, not to shy away my unglorious hair but just to give my hair a boost with the latest haircut styles.

While a trip to the hair salon is quite impossible right now due to my schedule, guess I have to orient myself on how to cut hair and browse for great styles that I might apply on mine. Well, there's a DVD on sale that demonstrates the artistry in hair color, hair cuts and styles for women. That is a great guide for me to look into how my hair would be, especially this coming Christmas season, haha! Here's a sample of their DVD video:

New Wardrobe

Hopefully by the end of this month towards the first half of December, I am planning to get some new wardrobe for myself. My office uniforms are no longer pleasant to look at (plus the fact that they were not really stylish in design) and I got one of my slacks burned by the iron. Some of my blouses have gotten old while others were already large on me (geez, did i really lose weight?). I ned to have new clothes for office and maybe that is what I will give myself for Christmas.

So what kind of dresses will I look for? That I am still confused. I am still looking for the right styles for my physique, that is, my large frame. I have always wanted to wear dresses, but I always end up with jeans and tops because at least they cover the bulges of my tummy. But since I have already lost some few pounds, I will now dare to have those whole dresses.

I have already bought two dresses, but I think they are just for casual functions. And so, I am browsing further through the web on dresses that may possibly look good on me. It amazes me so much that there are a lot of clothing in style, but at the same time frustrates me every time I learn that such style will not match my large frame. Oh well, but I found some Women's Coats and there's no doubt that I will look good on them! Now I am being assuming but I am 80% sure that trench coats will give me the favor and they are indeed great for office.

See?

How about you? What style do you have in mind?

What's Your Blood Type?

My mom emailed me something about the personalities behind the blood type. Well, I don't know if they are true or not because I believe each individual has its own set of personalities and not merely dictates of whatever print or form.

Nonetheless, I looked up for the personality traits of my blood type "O" and here they go. . .
You want to be a leader and when you see something you want, you keep striving until you achieve your goal. You are a trend-setter, loyal, passionate, and self-confident. Your weaknesses include vanity and jealousy and a tendency to be too competitive.
Hmm, at some points they may be true - - like my being persistent on what I want and the tendency to over-compete, but I don't find myself to be self-confident and jealous.

For the other blood types, here's the list of your personality traits:

Type A - You like harmony, peace and organization. You work with others, and are sensitive, patient and affectionate. Among your weaknesses are stubbornness and an inability to relax.

Type B - You're a rugged individualist, who's straightforward and likes to do things your own way. Creative and flexible, you adapt easily to any situation. But your insistence on being independent can sometimes go too far and become a weakness.

Type AB - Cool and controlled, you're generally well liked and always put people at ease. You're a natural entertainer who's tactful and fair. But you're standoffish, blunt, and have difficulty making decisions.

What's your blood type? Does it reflect the real you?

Blog Advertising

Thanks to some blog advertising websites, bloggers like me could get a little more extra income. At least, they get something out of doing what they wanted, which is to write about a lot of things.

I recently signed up with Paying Post and I was grateful that their approval comes in quickly. They also offer a number of opportunities for bloggers to write about at reasonable prices. Well, I am excited to be a part of their circle. The site is so easy to navigate; one can browse on anything with just a few clicks. The opportunities were also categorized accordingly, whether it is available, already reserved, or not available/qualified. A blogger could write about at least three opportunities for a given day and could add up to ten blogs on his or her account. They also have the paying Post Direct, where advertisers could directly tap on you for your writing services. It is really a great venue to enhance your writing skills and at the same time earn money!

Oh by the way, payments are made via Paypal so it is really hassle-free. They also welcome queries and comments via their customer support page. Interested? Why don't you sign up too and get paid to blog.

Treat Hair Loss With Hibiscus

I have previously made a post about hair loss, which has been a big problem of mine. Especially right after shower, I find it frustrating when strands of my hair cling to the comb at a considerable amount.

Anyway, hibiscus is another way to treat hair loss because they have rejuvenating effects for the hair. Hibiscus flowers are locally known as gumamela flowers, which are very common species on some parts of the globe. To treat our hair with hibiscus flowers, here are the following steps:

  • Take 2-3 flowers and crush them.
  • Make a paste by simply adding 3-4 drops of coconut oil.
  • Apply paste directly on scalp and hair. Rinse well after wards.

That's it!

Stopping Termites

A termite is one parasite that is so annoying. They bring damage to our homes, especially our wooden walls and furnitures. There is no denying that every household wants to get rid of them, not temporarily but for good.

So how do we kill these 'home wreckers'? Well, there are a number of ways to kill them, like the fumigation and the borate treatments. All these can be found at killthetermites.com and everything you need to know about termites, you will definitely find it there.

See the picture below? Start getting rid of them now.
