Go Green with Tea

Green tea has become a popular beverage meant for a healthier body. There are lots of health products out in the market today that has green tea or are sold at its raw form. It has also become a famous ingredient on various pastries and desserts, like cakes and ice creams. The growing popularity of green tea could no longer be held back and so might as well get to know it better.

What makes green tea so special? Well, it is a great anti-oxidant, due to the presence of ECGC (epigallocatechin gallate). Green tea has been found to be most effective in lowering down levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) as well as inhibits the growth of cancer cells without harming the other cell tissues. It also restrains thrombosis, which is the formation of abnormal blood clots.

Aside from lowering cholesterol, green tea is now a widespread means for weight loss, as evidenced by the numerous weight-loss health supplements and drinks. They are believed to burn down more calories when taken.

Green tea can also be helpful in the following disorders:

  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • infections
  • cardiovascular diseases
  • tooth decay
  • impaired immunities

Be CISCO Certified!

In my profession as a CPA, it is imperative for us to undergo various enhancements in knowledge that could be applied to our usual work. That is what we call the Continuing Professional Education, and we tried hard to achieve certifications and units to make us still up and visible in this already crowded industry.

I am an auditor and our auditee uses a new online system in recording their daily transactions. We have connected to their network so that we could be able to access them. That would mean I have to study and be updated with information technology in order for me to thoroughly carry out my function as an auditor. The idea of continuous education is very welcome to me especially in the field of IT, since I love surfing the internet and same thing with my work.

So how shall I go about with my knowledge enhancements? Well, I signed up at the Cisco Learning Network to start with. They offer different learnings for Cisco certification, which is classified into entry, associate, professional and expert career certifications. The entry category comprises the CCENT Certification, which opens the door to a career in networking. The associate level offers various training programs on CCNA, which promises for an additional insight on the use of various protocols like IP and EIGRP. Advanced programs can be learned as one goes on with the professional and expert categories. They also have the specialist certification for Advance Routing and Switching, Wireless LAN, Security, Data Center, Foundation for Channel Partners and Unified Communications.

And since I rely mostly on my auditee's IT personnel to do connections to the network, having a Cisco certification would enable me to do them on my own and not having to call that personnel every now and then.

I look forward for more learnings in the network, as well as their regular newsletters and other emails. I'm off to be the best in my field...(haha!).

Win It With A Kiss.

This couple has won in the International Underwater Kissing that happened in Italy last weekend. He is Fidel Rios and Claudia Pettazzoni, from Peru and Italy, respectively. Their kiss lasted for 1 minute and 51 seconds (whew! I could no longer hold my breath at that!), making it the world's longest underwater kiss.

Can you do this? I really had high praises to such kind of people, because they are what I'm not. But I really do want to do this one of these days, maybe when I have made a great deal of practice doing various underwater activities and most importantly, holding my breath.

But who would still think about holding breath when everything else is so great and heavenly with the kiss? Nothing else mattered already as soon as your lips met your loved one's, isn't it?

Virgin Product ?!

The internet never ceases to amaze me. Who could have thought that after browsing through yahoo, I would be able to discover that such products do exist? Well, it surely did catch my attention and hence, clicked the picture.

So, what is this product? It is called the Liquid Virgin Drops, a contracting lubricant for that area in your anatomy that you wish would tighten up. Personally, this is really weird for me and considering that I have undergone three normal births for the past six years, this item is somehow relevant. But I wouldn't risk trying it as of now. I am still in the getting to know you stage of this product.

So what have I learned so far with it? According to the website who had this available for sale, Liquid Virgin Drops works to temporarily tighten the walls of the intimate area and for the best results and moisturization, it is to be applied 15 minutes before any activity.

Oh well, who have tried this so far? What can you say about it? I wonder if everything is worth it.

Carbonara + Chessecake

I took a day off from my usual diet and guess what I had this lunch? Well obviously, as what the title mentioned, I had a blast with my lunch break some few hours ago.

On my way back to the office (from the daughter's school), I was so tempted to stop by the greatest cake and pastry shop here in our place, Margie's. After some mind-boggling weighing in of the urge, I finally gave in and made a stop at the diner.

I ordered a spaghetti carbonara and a blueberry chessecake for lunch, with an ice-cold apple-flavored green tea. And as the saying that greeted every customer of the store goes,

Life is short, eat your dessert first.

I never thought twice about the saying and so I took a bite of the cheesecake first before the pasta (since it was also being served by the waitress first). I think it is a common knowledge and fact that cheesecakes are really yummy so I guess I need not elaborate further how I felt as I was consuming that slice of cake. The blueberry is really great and the cheesecake was so smooth. No wonder I have downed it in just a snap.

Next came the spaghetti carbonara and whoa...it was great! I put a lot of cheese into it and it surely made my noon all worthwhile. The picture on the right is really what you get - - it is definitely mouth-watering. And the garlic bread, oohhhh... if only I could order more of those but the guilt of over-eating hit me and so I laid myself back. All my efforts for dance exercise would be put to waste if I didn't behave myself.

Well, enough talking about my lunch. I'm off again for another party a few minutes from now. Hope I could discipline myself then. Have a great Tuesday!

Hodgepodge Survey.

If you are fond of celebrities and entertainment, then this survey might be the one for you. C'mon, this it a shot.

My Huge Crush

I really don't know why but my heart keeps pounding every time my eyes catch a glimpse of this long-time crush of mine. It has been months that I am longing for this but still haven't got the resources to acquire. So what's this huge crush? Well, it is not a human being but a thing, one of my favorites at that.

I guess I have already mentioned in my previous posts how crazy I am with bags. And every time I browse through eBay, amazon, and other auction sites, it is one thing that I never miss to check out. This huge crush of mine is a Tommy Hilfiger handbag, in its logo cloth with rings on the sides and the word Tommy Hilfiger were engraved into them. This weekend I was again browsing through and found this bag but sadly enough I don't have the means to purchase. I don't know if I could make a deal out at ebay.com since I don't live in the States.

How I wish one day I could finally own this bag, and fulfill my one wish. Wishing you a great week guys.

Do You Have A Map . . .

. . . . . because I just keep getting lost in your eyes.

Ever been told those pick up lines before? If so, how did you feel then? Well, I don't remember being told, but maybe those words just came to pass by lovely ears. While pick up lines may be sweet but sometimes they represent a boastful personality of a man. But it's the way and manner these lines are being delivered that what makes them click and effective.

Several lines that I find corny but amusing in a way are as follows:

You got something on your chest: my eyes
I hope you know CPR, because you take my breath away.

If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together.

At the Ultimate Flirting Championship, a game launched by Extreme Style by VO5, one has to be quick with pick up lines. In order to have the Victory Hair, one must follow by heart the flirting tips being shared and be able to master the skill, which can be gleaned on the way they deliver their pick up lines.

Do you have what it takes to acquire Victory Hair? Well then, gather all your cherished pick up lines and tell it on your prospect by joining the Ultimate Flirting Championship. How to join? Just click this widget.

Scarlett Sings!

I was surprised when I opened a mail from iTunes. One new release that they have is an album from Scarlett Johansson, entitled Anywhere I Lay My Head. Well, pardon me for saying this, but I really haven't witnessed any performance of Scarlett yet, that is, aside from the silver screen.

Well, upon hearing those sample tunes of her songs, I came to like it anyway. Unlike those high-pitched voices of some divas around, Scarlett's voice is simple and hazy and soulful.

This is indeed a great proof that Scarlett is an all-around entertainer. Aside from acting, she can pull it off too through singing. Way to go!

Achieve Victory Hair

After being curious about the latest phenomenon on Victory Hair, I finally got the chance to give it a try and witness every tip and action that everybody has been writing about. To fully understand what Victory Hair is all about, I finally joined Extreme Style by VO5 on their new site which is called Ultimate Flirting Championship, Well, glad that I did, because I was greeted with a number of tricks and tips that could be useful.

What is Victory Hair? According to VO5, it is the state wherein two gorgeously-haired individuals of the opposite sex meet and after a few moments of togetherness and hitting it off, got messed up. Personally, I don't have a great hair to begin with, but I can have the Victory Hair definitely.

So, I signed up at the Ultimate Flirting Championship and chose my look and hairstyle for my avatar. It was really fun because I also get to chose my hair color! And after my profile creation was complete, I have to wait for two other participants to join since it would be nice to play in threesome ( haha...that's what they said!). And while in the waiting area, a flashy screen features some great flirt tips and hilarious side tags.

Wanna try it yourself? Just visit their site and join the fun.

Knowing L-Carnitine

Being desperately wanting to lose weight is not a joke. Aside from the twice a week schedule that I have with dance-exercise to sweat out, I have to go on a diet and take food supplements for weight loss.

The motivational force within me have not seem to be working with full gusto. Since I decided to lose weight three months ago, I only shed off only a few pounds - 8 pounds to be exact (more! more!more!). I haven't really taken the diet too seriously, especially during parties and primetime TV watching (it's really nice to munch something while watching), so I guess my progress is not very quick.

So, what would be my alternative in order to hasten this weight loss endeavor of mine? I have to continue my dance routines and thrive to sweat out more than my calorie intake. Fine. I have to pursue my diet (strict mode), meaning no fats, no salt and less sugar. And take fiber and L-Carnitine or levocarnitine, that is why I am stocking some beverages with the content as well as the food supplement.

What is L-Carnitine? It is a naturally occurring amino acid that helps in the metabolism of fats. It transfers long-chain fatty acids, like the triglycerides, into the mitochondria, which is the cell's energy haven. From there, the fats are oxidized to form into energy. L-Carnitine can also be found on red meat (beef), dairy products and avocado.

Wish me luck as I include L-Carnitine in my diet. I hope I would see great results soon.

Flirtatious Look

One disappointment that I really have is my looks. I am not slim, so that would mean I don't look good physically. I am not ugly though (haha!) but my beauty is just on the average and not enough to make heads turn.

But these physical qualities no longer matter to me because I got married to a handsome guy and am blessed with three kids at that. My hubby always reminds me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and for him I am beautiful. Well, that is all that matters to me so I am not worried about my looks or my physical attributes. I may be overweight and unsightly for other people but for my husband, I am the most gorgeous human being he ever laid eyes on, most especially when I gave him my flirtatious looks. Don't get me wrong. I am not a flirt but I can be when situation warrants me, but only to a loved one.

I am lucky that my flirtatious look took effect on my husband. Well, all singles out there can no longer worry about being single for life for you can eventually meet the right one for you in whatever means. One means may be through flirting, and Extreme Style by VO5 have launched a new game called the Ultimate Flirting Championship. Check out the widget below and give it a click.

For more widgets please visit www.yourminis.com

Try it out now friends and don't miss this chance to flaunt your flirting tricks. You also get to learn the basics and master the art. Who knows, you might even get yourself the Victory Hair everybody is aiming for (wink!).

High School Musical 3

Now my kids would be ecstatic when they will find out that High School Musical has another sequel which will be shown in the theaters finally. They have avidly followed through the HSM 1 and 2 over and over again on the television and even on DVD. This time, HSM 3 will hit the big screen and I am super excited in behalf of my kids.

HSM 3 has a sub-title "The Senior Year", so is this gonna be the last and a goodbye? Watching the official trailer was really fun. The usual musical scene are still there and this time they had featured 10 original songs in the movie, which includes the romantic duet of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens (the main characters). The dance numbers are still present, which are my personal favorites since I really love dancing. The story now evolves around Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats making it through the senior year and preparing their journey for life after high school.

HSM 3 will be open on the big screen this coming October 24. The long wait is up!

Congratulations Miss Venezuela!

A 22-year old lass from Venezuela won the prestigious Miss Universe Pageant, held at Nha Trang, Vietnam some few hours ago. Her name is Dayana Mendoza, a model and interior designer student, who measures 5'10 in height. She wore an elegant yellow evening gown, when she was crowned the winner.

Before the final announcement, Miss Mendoza was joined by the representatives of Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Russia in the top five posts.

This year's prize package includes cash, world travel, a rent-free luxurious New York apartment, a year-long contract to represent the Miss Universe and a giftbag filled with lots of designer dresses, shoes and accessories.

Lobo: The Finale

This week will never be the same again because Lobo has bid its goodbye last Friday via its finale episode which was really very touching and great. The said show will be replaced with Iisa Pa Lamang, featuring the debut comeback of Gabby Concepcion but I am really not into this kind of show (well, let's just see, why not?).

Since the beginning of Lobo, I was already hooked into it. Aside from the curiosity that I had for Angel Locsin (since I really don't watch the Kapuso channel) on how well she looked at act onscreen, it is also a team to look forward to, the Angel-Piolo (GeLo) team-up I mean. And the story is quite different too. It is a mixture of drama, romance, comedy, action, fantasy and thriller. And the casts have really gave their best performances for the show (except for a few stars but they are tolerable). The finale last Friday was superb, especially the part where the main couple died in each other's arms and did never let go.

My kids have come to love this show also, and they are the ones who reminded me every primetime that "Mommy, Lobo is on TV already!". The wedding scene of Agot and Eric Fructuoso gave the show its happy ending, while the last scene where Angel and Piolo had a walk with their twins and had a kiss was very heart-warming.

Wonder what's in store for the two main stars now that Lobo is over. Heard that Piolo might be paired up with Bea in Betty La Fea, while Angel might be paired with John Lloyd in the near future. Well, those are still rumors but who knows?

Introducing: iPhone 3G

The new iPhone by Apple Inc. will be out in the market on sale today in more than 20 countries worldwide. When they sale on sale, it meant that the iPhones would be sold at half the original price...well, as what was mentioned in their email/newsletter.

The following countries that would be bracing the good news today are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA. The said iPhones are also coming soon on over 40 countries, the Philippines included (hoping the sale would be applicable here...haha!).

Apple Inc. is said to have a target of selling 10 million units of the mobile device by the end of 2008, hence the sale strategy. Hope they achieve the target, well, it is already expected that hordes of buyers would be attracted to this.

Feeling Odd

I am feeling quite odd right now. I could not understand if it is because of my menstrual period or my stomach.

The thing is, I took those slimming tea for two days now. I haven't felt anything during my first try and so I continued it and now I feel like I have to rush to the comfort room every now and then. I really do not feel comfortable using comfort rooms other than the one at home, so this really places a big problem for me which I have to get over with.

I usually don't suffer dysmenorrhea during menstruation, but there's a hollow feeling that I felt every time I have one. It's as if there's air all over my abdomen running to and fro, so I guess this adds up to what I am feeling right now.

Gosh...wish I could survive this day here at the office.

Go Belly Dancing

The dance studio I frequently went to has a new dance instructor (DI). I was already used to one of their instructor who usually dances hip hop and other new hot tunes nowadays, but got another favorite in the person of this new DI since she specializes in belly dancing.

I really love dancing and I wouldn't trade this skill to anybody else (sorry...). I have always been an avid viewer of dance music videos, especially those of Madonna, Janet Jackson, Shakira and Justin Timberlake. Every time I get a glimpse of their videos, I really get hooked at once.

But one thing is for sure, I find difficulty in belly dancing and watching that new DI made her belly moves challenged me to the extreme. I have never belly danced before, and while I was doing the DI's moves, my belly really ached which somehow tells me that I need more practice and improvement. Oh my. I just hope that this effort of mine in learning belly dancing would pay off and give me the slimmer figure I have been wishing for my entire life.

You should try it yourself. After my first try, my torso was really sweaty and really gave me a refreshing feeling.

Cyber Relationships?

We all know that cyber relationships are very much alive nowadays, and a great percentage had worked out impressively. Well, take this survey and know more about making relationships online.

Confused Shopper

Shopping with budget constraints is really hard and right now, I am very much confused what to buy. As much as I wanted to have both items at once, I am still financially unable to acquire them and so, I have to decide and choose which is which.

Well, the choices I have to make - - Rubber shoes or Earrings. It has been a long time since I wanted to have them but haven't got the time and resources to obtain. With costs getting higher and higher, the chances of having those are getting slimmer and slimmer (poor me!). And now that I got a few bucks to spend, I am left to make the decision which item to buy.

Dear hubby advised for the jewelry since the said item is more valuable compared to the shoes. But I also longed for a new rubber shoes now that I am almost becoming a regular guest on the only dance studio here in our place. Presently, I dance twice a week in order to shed those super-extra pounds off my body and what great accessory to go with this endeavor - - rubber shoes.

Hope I could make up my mind soon and will not regret whatever the decision may be.

Let Me Heave A Sigh

Things are quite unpleasant for me lately. I was away from my kids for three days because our audit team have to do our cash examination and other audit functions at the other branch of our auditee. The said other branch is located in another city some two and a half hour ride from my place.

Well, while being away, my kids were left with their nannies. I worried for my eldest' school work since her school has been rigid in quizzes, assignments and other activities. To make matters worse, the teacher of my second kid (who's in nursery) wants to talk to me about my son's being unable to write and does not listen to her during class. Whew!

Then, there's my youngest kid who had fever few days ago and was constantly throwing up for two days, with no appetite to eat.

The weekend has started to take its entrance and this gives me a great feeling. Why? Well, because my family would be complete again even for just two days. Hubby (who works in CDO-a four hour ride from here) would be home an hour from now. Tis' my favorite day of the week really.

Sigh!
