Movie Marathon

Since we moved into our new abode, I started to love watching movies over my laptop. Since I can't get through our common television set to watch the shows I like (there's just too much traffic considering three kids are watching cartoons), I am left with no choice but to settle down in our room and face the laptop.

I happened to watch one movie one time and after that, it was already a series of movie marathons. Thanks to some websites that offers free movies online, I was able to watch a number of amazing movies that I failed to watch on the big screen, like Slumdog Millionaire.

I enjoyed watching the movie Slumdog Millionaire. It is about a young lad who joined the popular game show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and won. But his win is questioned by authorities, but was able to justify them nonetheless. Along the way, his experiences have molded him to be knowledgeable about life and love and eventually it all coincided with the questions being asked of him during the show. The movie's setting was in India, and I could very well feel how hard the lad's life must have been; being an orphan struggling his way to live a wealthy life.

Other movies I have watched online are as follows:

Salt

The Ugly Truth

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Juno

Do you enjoy watching movies too?

The Last Song

Hubby and I watched 'The Last Song' the other night, a movie that starred Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Liam Hemsworth. I was not really keen with Miley but since the movie is based on a best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks, I have no doubts whatsoever that the movie would be indisputably very remarkable.

The movie is about a teenage daughter Ronnie, who got estranged with her father after the latter moved to another place since the divorce. Ronnie became all the more angry when her mother decided to let them stay with their father for the summer. Eventually, their strained relationship was mended through one thing they commonly love - - music.

The movie unfolds a story about family, first love and second chances.

For me, Nicholas Sparks has made another mark in his career through this creation. The story itself is so touching, so emotional ~ it really made me cry toward its end. This is the second Sparks story that made me cry (the first one was A Walk To Remember). Well, I haven't read the novel yet but I will definitely secure one soon.

By the way, I was thankful hubby was not able to notice the tears rolling down my eyes, otherwise I am now flooded with mockery, lol!

Wanting Eclipse.

I am looking forward for two Eclipses - - yes, the movie and the phone.

The third installment of the Twilight saga - Eclipse - is not yet showing here in our place and I am already very anxious for it. It has been more than a week since the official first day showing of the movie and not even a single poster is found on the cinema's lobby here in the area. All my twilighter friends online have already seen it and it breaks me to the bone knowing that I am left behind. Oh well! I am so thrilled to see Edward and Bella again on the big screen. They told me the Bella-Charlie sex talk and the tent scenes are epic and they enjoyed every seconds of it. They also said that Riley is cute and were joking to form another team for him. Oh, and the meadow scenes!

And being a Twihard that I am, I have come across a very nice phone that is a tie-up to Eclipse. The phone is called Eclipse Windows, from Cherry Mobile. This made me excited especially upon knowing that it is already available in the market at a low price, being a smart phone, that is.

Here are the features of the unit and I hope to have one when the budget permits, lol!

  • Windows Mobile 6.5
  • Touch Screen
  • 2.0 Megapixel Camera
  • Dual SIM/Dual Standby
  • Wifi / Bluetooth
  • Multimedia Player
  • FM Radio
  • GPS
  • Micro SD Card up to 8GB
The Eclipse trailer and some great wallpapers are embedded in the phone already. Wow!

TV Anytime

The television has always been my foremost form of entertainment way back when I still single. I was fond of watching a lot of TV shows like the Beverly Hills 90210, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dawson's Creek, and X-Men Animated Series. When I got married, hubby and I would love to watch Amazing Race, Iron Chef America and other famous reality shows. We would never really miss a single episode of our favorites. . . . but gone are those days anymore.

With three kids around the house, we could no longer find ourselves before a television set. All we see on the screen are Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins, Spongebob Squarepants, etc, etc . . . They never tire of watching the same episode over and over again and every time their favorite shows finish, they would fervently hope that they be shown again. If only we could avail of Charter's services, viewing their favorites shows again and again at their convenient times would be so possible.

Ondemand

The good thing with Charter is that they have over 6,000 movies and TV shows in their archives for people to watch, with no access fees. It would be very possible for busy people like me to watch a missed show or movie, at high definition quality, any time of the day. Does that get you interested? Well, you can learn more at charter.net/ondemand all there is to know about Charter, or maybe yet, you can get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page.

Another New Moon Trailer

Summit Entertainment, the producers of the Twilight movie released another trailer for New Moon, the second book of the Twilight saga. It was released just recently at the MTV Video Music Awards and the introduction was made by its three lead stars ~ Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

Here's a video from the awards show:

Just in case the video would be no longer available (sometimes producers advise youtube to take the video out due to copyright issues and other stuffs), you can also watch the trailer at MTV.com.

The showing is still two months away but I am already filled with excitement!

Chick Flicks Marathon

Lately, I have been doing movie marathons via the internet. Movies of romantic comedy genres have been my favorite flicks to watch and so I did some research on the great feel-good movies and so far I enjoyed watching them.

These are the movies I watched so far:

The list does not stop here, since I still have to search for more great chick flicks, like The Prince and Me, The Perfect Man, and so much more. Well, it wouldn't be hard for me at all to look for these movies online because Rapidshare Search Engine is readily available to supply me the files and links.

Thanks to Rapidshare, I even got to download the four Twilight Saga audio books and listen to them at my convenient hour.

Well, gotta search for movies again. . .

New Moon Trailer

My bad! I am a Twilight fanatci to begin with but I forgot to feature here the recently released trailer for New Moon - - the second book from the Twilight saga. During the MTV Movie Awards held few weeks back, the lead casts had the privilege to unveil the first trailer for the said movie.

Here's the trailer:

Oh well, how I wish November is just around the corner but it seems I have to wait up for 5 more months then.

Can't Wait For New Moon!

Whew! It has been very long since I have posted something on this blog. Now I am feeling guilty for not being in the blogosphere for several days, and not having to visit your blogs too. Anyway, I am back and I hope nothing gets in the way again. Life has been very busy the past days which left me feeling dead tired and lazy all the same.

Well for Twilight fanatics like me, I would like to share some photo still from the upcoming movie New Moon. I think these were already released few days back, but might as well post it here since Edward and Bella have already become part of my fancies, lol!

Currently, they are filming in Italy and I am super excited for the appearance of the yellow Porsche! Oh, and they are gonna feature a never-before-seen video clip of the movie on MTV Awards this Monday (Phils. time - - Sunday in US). Enjoy the pictures and one thing is for sure . . . I can't wait for November!

HeroSan's Can This Be Love?

I was lazing around last Sunday and just tossed and turned on the bed. The kids were done watching their favorite cartoon shows then, and so their nanny took the privilege of turning the channel. She watched Cinema One and the featured movie that time was something I have never expected to see. It was Can This Be Love, which starred Hero Angeles and Sandara Park.

So I left bed and got hooked on the TV screen. I realized that I missed watching them, because I have always been amused by their team-up. It's so sad that they parted ways, they really had a huge fan base! I remember those days when they were still in the reality show Star Circle Quest, I was pregnant with my second son then. I never missed a single episode of the show, because they were really cute.

The movie was refreshing. It made me smile and it felt like I was placed back in time when I was still capable of giggling. Haha!

Movies I Watched The Past Week

I have seen three movies during the past week and I should say I enjoyed doing it so. These three films were not a disappointment as far as I am concerned, so I would give a thumbs up for them. Here are the flicks that has entertained me in one way or another . . .

Bedtime Stories

It was a kids' flick alright, with Adam Sandler in the lead role. This movie gave my kids a good laugh and got giddy finding Zack and Cody on TV on one of the scenes. Well, for one Keri Rusell is really pretty and really looked nice on screen. The little kids were so much adorable too, even their guinea pig Bugsley. I also was happy to see Courteney Cox again, looking slim and beautiful as ever. Hmm . . . it brought me back to the time when I was super hooked with the Monica-Chandler love story on Friends. Oh and one more thing, I liked Adam Sandler's cellphone ring tone. I wonder where I could get one like that.

Love Me Again

A local movie here in the Philippines featuring the country's heartthrob Piolo Pascual. This is his first big screen partnership with Angel Locsin, who I came to like so much since she transferred to ABS-CBN. Love Me Again is another romantic film which has never failed to make me feel good, and I like its more mature sense, than the past Star Cinema romantic flicks. It also made me catch a glimpse of Bukidnon, which was indeed very beautiful and scenic. Watching this movie also made me want to catch more Angel-Piolo tandem in the future. They really look good together.

Transporter 3

I saw this movie just today and I am thankful to have watched it. Hubby already saw this film so I was off to watch this alone. Well, it was really entertaining in a sense that there are a lot of action scenes, although at some points I doubt if they could be realistically performed by any ordinary individual. I first came to like Jason Stratham on Transporter 1, and I liked him all the more here in 3 because of his romantic side. I never realized he could be as romantic as Romeo or Edward, lol!

Got Inflicted With Twilight Fever

Guilty as ever!

I am very much aware that the Twilight fever has been raging on for some time now and I must admit that I got inflicted with it too! I have already watched it twice on the theaters and tonight, I am going for my third, together with my close office mates.

I haven't read the book yet when I saw the movie. And right after, I was determined to read the novel to understand the whole plot further. Fortunately, a very kind person sent me the four ebooks of the Twilight series over email and so there was no stopping me, lol! I have even managed to read New Moon (the second of the series) for only about 9 hours. I was already so engrossed, maybe that explained why I haven't posted much on this blog last week. Now I am reading the third book, Eclipse, and I am more than halfway.

Oh well, talking about Twilight releases all the excitement within me. I just love Edward and Bella.

Watched Twilight

I watched Twilight today and it was such superb! It's been more than 4 hours since I went out the theater but I still have not recovered from the mania yet! I instantly fell in love with the main characters - - Edward and Bella. I haven't read the book yet and now I am intending to do so (the problem is, I do not know where to look for the book).

The actors were also great, and in fairness, Kristen Stewart is really pretty. Watching her face was not a bore at all. And Robert Pattinson, well what can I say? I usually do not go for his kind of look, but he was a total hunk in the movie! It is not difficult to fall in love with him. I guess they have great chemistry together and they really made me giggle with matching goosebumps watching their romantic scenes.

Talking about their scenes together, my favorite was when they started to go to school together and the other kids at school were awed by their sight. I just found it really sweet and brought me back in time, haha! Have you seen Twilight already? What was your favorite scene?

I am definitely going to watch this again.

High School Musical 3

Now my kids would be ecstatic when they will find out that High School Musical has another sequel which will be shown in the theaters finally. They have avidly followed through the HSM 1 and 2 over and over again on the television and even on DVD. This time, HSM 3 will hit the big screen and I am super excited in behalf of my kids.

HSM 3 has a sub-title "The Senior Year", so is this gonna be the last and a goodbye? Watching the official trailer was really fun. The usual musical scene are still there and this time they had featured 10 original songs in the movie, which includes the romantic duet of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens (the main characters). The dance numbers are still present, which are my personal favorites since I really love dancing. The story now evolves around Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats making it through the senior year and preparing their journey for life after high school.

HSM 3 will be open on the big screen this coming October 24. The long wait is up!

Movie: When Love Begins

I was having my usual dance exercise session yesterday afternoon and I was bringing along my two kids with me. But on our way to the studio, we happen to pass by our one and only mall in Butuan City and an ad billboard had said that the movie When Love Begins is already showing. The ad did not escaped my daughter's eyes, and upon reading it, immediately asked me that we watched it afterwards. Oh well...

After the dance, I decided to go to the mall to buy diapers. But then again, my daughter insisted on the movie and so I gave in, tagging also my son of three years old (i really wondered if he has understood what he was watching). Off we went to theater to buy the tickets, got some snacks and drinks. Fortunately, we got a seat upon entry, amidst the numerous viewers within.

The movie was great. It was a feel good flick, tackling with certain issues that are inevitably existing in the real world. Aga Muhlach has delivered his usual superb acting skills at the most. He plays an attorney, who left his practice and joined an organization that is geared towards environmental preservation. He had a problem with his mother though, because he has been very busy with his life that he seldom visits them. He is a regular dweller in Boracay, having found a friend who owns a restaurant. On one of his visit to Bora, he met Anne Curtis and instantly was charmed with the girl. Anne is surprisingly great in the movie. Her acting skills has improved a lot and I must admit that she really looked magnificent in all her scenes. She has bloomed into a beautiful lady and what a sexy body she got! Most of her Bora scenes, she was wearing two-piece swimsuits and she really looked amazing.

They had romantic scenes as well, which I find cute but not spine-tingling (sorry...). Theirs was a no-commitment relationship, no exclusivity whatsoever. The drama scenes are also executed very well, but what really made a tear fall from my eyes is the scene between Aga and his mother Boots Anson-Roa, in the hospital. It was so touchy. By the way, Christopher de Leon did a wonderful job in the movie as Anne's father. His special participation really served its purpose.

Over-all, the movie is not bad. It made me remember very well the party life I had way back. And to make it worse, after watching it, I completely forgot about the diapers!

Movies I Look Forward To Watch

Just watched John Rambo on the big screen yesterday. My husband was really dying to see it because he has watched every sequel of it, and this time he would not want to miss this one. And so, to accompany him, there I was watching the gruesome and violent film. In fairness though, Stallone could still do those stuff that he was popular of way back.

During the movie break, there were trailers being shown for upcoming films. And I get excited for the following films to be shown in the near future...

Fool's Gold

Jumper

The Dark Knight

Can't wait for these movies....
