Rubik's Cube

The Rubik's Cube has been the craze at my daughter's school. You see, they even have a contest for this, that is, the person who could solve the puzzle at the fastest time wins. Now my daughter wants me to teach her how to solve it (omg, how shall I teach my 6 year old daughter then?).

I already forgot how to solve this, and it has been way back - - about ten years ago - - that I have been crazy about the cube. Luckily, hubby still knows it, and he gladly taught my daughter the basics, but it is really difficult to teach her.

The Rubik's Cube has been so popular as soon as it was released in the 1970's, by Erno Rubik. And the people's craze about it became so immense in the mid-1980s where more than 300 million cubes were sold worldwide! It was called 'The Magic Cube' then, but Ideal Toy Corporation renamed it to Rubik's Cube in 1980.

Have you been with this fascination before? If so, then you're irresistibly not alone. Happy weekend everyone!

Multiple Outlooks

Please take a look at the pictures below and determine the things you see. These are wonderful products of art and depict multiple objects in sight.

This is a picture of a park, with one person walking. But when you look closely, it has a form of a man's face.

This is a picture of a rocky mountain covered with snow, don't you think? But hey, have an intent look at it and you'll find horses too!

Wow! This face of a lovely woman is so artistic. And its features are made up of flowers and butterfly.

Well, that just goes to say that people indeed look at life in varied forms and views. We may be situated in only one picture, but we look at it on different angles. That is why people always have differences in insights which eventually lead to arguments and sad to say, even in the most intimate of relationships, those differences exist.

But whatever outlook we may have about life, each one of us should respect each other and try to look at it at another perspective, the way other people see them. In that way, differences would be lessened and harmony and love would take its reign.

Black or white? Which color do you see on the intersections?

The Hermann's Grid

This is quite simple...are the lines circular or spiral?

Take time to exercise your eyes and enjoy!

Happy Birthday Robert!

Before this day ends, just wanna greet Robert James Woods of the Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 a Happy Birthday. He is now 25 years old. I would like to share these banners. . . thanks to Photo Impact. Making these stuff was made easy, too bad my trial version is now over.

Photo Impact Part Two

I was up again doing some fan arts for Robert and Saicy as our thread at PEX is approaching to 5,000 posts and we are about to make another thread soon.

Well, thanks to Photo Impact and they have another trial version, which I downloaded two days ago.

Here are my finished products... they are not very outstanding works though... just from the efforts of a neophyte still learning the basics.

I also made some for my hubby and daughter too...

Photo Impact

I should say that I am a frustrated artist. I remembered during my childhood days, I was always trying to draw something...but unfortunately, the drawing was far from what I have in mind. I always admire other people who are gifted with such craft, a cousin, a classmate, or a friend. But then, my desire to excel in the field of graphics vanished to thin air...

Just last year, I became a frequent forum poster of ABS-CBN forums and PEX, all because of being a Roicynatic (Robert-Saicy fanitic). Since then, the artist inside of me (whatever what was left, if there was any) felt the urge to try my hand in making fanarts or banners. Thanks to a cyber friend, and she gave me the idea to use either Photo Impact or Photoshop to make such stuff.

I tried to download the trial versions... since I still could not afford the full package. Sad to say, the Photoshop was too large a file, even the trial version, so I was having a hard time downloading it. Luckily though, Photo Impact came to my rescue and off I went to graphics...

So here are the fruits of my labor...(since I tried hard to learn them).

I even made some for my loved-ones...

I'm looking forward to learn Photoshop soon. :-)
