Go Green with Tea

Green tea has become a popular beverage meant for a healthier body. There are lots of health products out in the market today that has green tea or are sold at its raw form. It has also become a famous ingredient on various pastries and desserts, like cakes and ice creams. The growing popularity of green tea could no longer be held back and so might as well get to know it better.

What makes green tea so special? Well, it is a great anti-oxidant, due to the presence of ECGC (epigallocatechin gallate). Green tea has been found to be most effective in lowering down levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) as well as inhibits the growth of cancer cells without harming the other cell tissues. It also restrains thrombosis, which is the formation of abnormal blood clots.

Aside from lowering cholesterol, green tea is now a widespread means for weight loss, as evidenced by the numerous weight-loss health supplements and drinks. They are believed to burn down more calories when taken.

Green tea can also be helpful in the following disorders:

  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • infections
  • cardiovascular diseases
  • tooth decay
  • impaired immunities
