It's a beautiful Monday today, not only because the weather here is good, but because it is my mother's 59th birthday. She is one year shy from reaching the age of retirement, but I am pleased to say that she doesn't look her age. To her:
Another reason for this beautiful Monday is the Music Monday, which I have not participated for two weeks I guess. I will be sharing with you a classic song from George Benson, called In Your Eyes. I love this song because of its wonderful lyrics and melody as well.
My second kid, Justin, turned five years old yesterday. There was not much of a celebration happened but I know he was very happy during the moment. All he wanted was a small birthday celebration inside his classroom and that was granted. Being a cake lover that he is, the celebration wouldn't be complete at all if there was no birthday cake. And so, we never passed the moment to have one.
It was the happiest moment of his life yesterday when he blew the cake's candle. I could see his big smile as his classmates gathered around him to witness that very special moment of his. I am sharing here a short clip for you to witness too.
My absence during the past week has disabled me to greet some people on very special occasions. Well, it's better late than never, so here goes my delayed greetings to concerned individuals:
Happy Birthday to my youngest son! He just turned three years old last April 29, which was sad for me because I was in Davao that time. Hubby told me they went to church and had a very simple celebration. The kids were very happy with cake and ice cream hubby got for them. If only I could bring back time and spend the day with them, I could have witnessed their jolly faces!
Next special occasion was the National Labor Day last May 1. Wishing all workers, both in the private and government sector, a continued motivation for excellence in everything and increased incentives too.
Lastly, just before lunch time today, Manny Pacquiao fought against Ricky Hatton of England. It was a fight deemed by many as the fight of the year but Manny proved otherwise since the bout only lasted 2 rounds. And in these two rounds, Hatton was downed three times! Congratulations Manny for another exemplary boxing performance. Truly a world class individual and the number 1 pound for pound boxer!
My ever dearest hubby is already 32 today! Too bad he won't be with us today because he is out of town having their semestral performance review and evaluation. I do hope he could make it home tonight, no matter how wee the hours would be. But nonetheless, I am wishing him all the goodness of health and happiness.
In just a matter of hours, my most favorite time of the year would soon be here. . . hmm. . . this would be my 31st Christmas ever! For sure, I would enjoy this wonderful season, I hope you all do too.
Have a blessed Christmas everyone. . . and a fruitful New Year ahead too. Mwah!!
Well, it's the last day of October and now people are off to celebrate the Halloween (really?!). I don't do the celebration myself because I am scared of such things. Anyway, to those who do, let me extend my greetings and hoping that you have a nice one! Haha!
This is Saicy Aguila, one of the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother season 2. We have the same birthday, she turned 25 last Sunday while I turned 31, haha!
This photo is taken last Sunday at the dressing room of PICC, where she had a show with Rodjun Cruz of Anime. Isn't she sexy? For me, she has the perfect body. Oh well, when can I have one like that?
Today is a very special day for me. We have just been from the beach and our family had a blast especially my kids. Not much food was brought but it was so much of a clelebration for me. . .(you know why?). Because it's my birthday!
Whew, 31 years of thrilling journey and still continuing doing so. Thanks to all the people who became a part of that journey, and that includes all my online friends.
I didn't have a grand party today but it was all worthy. And so, without further delay, let me greet myself again...
Today is the first day of October, meaning - - it's the start of my birthmonth. I am excited for my special day to come but before that, I would like to tell my son a happy birthday. He turned 4 today and fortunately it's a holiday here in the Philippines so I was spared of treating his classmates a celebration at school (whew!).
We had a simple celebration right now. Some spaghetti during lunch and barbeque and fried chicken during dinner. And this important day of his life would not be complete without his most favorite food - - cake!
The Philippine streets has been peaceful and quiet as the boxing bout of Manny Pacquiao and David Diaz is taking place. People are in their respective homes, eagerly watching the fight live from the cable television, while others watch on the cinema.
Well, this has been another great fight for Manny, which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. He has proven again and again how tough he is and how much he deserved to be called the pound per pound king. Each round, Manny has showcased his strong and powerful punches, to which David Diaz acquired a bloody face and got knocked out at round 9.
Congratulations to Manny and a big hurrah to the new WBC Lightweight Champion.
Today marks another special day for all the men who have continuously supported and provided everything for their families, especially their kids, FATHERS. Fathers are blessed by God in order to give the basic necessities of their children for their proper physical growth and emotional and mental guidance as they journey through life.
To all the fathers in the world, here's a cheer of greetings with the hope that you continue what God has tasked you and produce the best kids that this world needs.
To my hubby, thank you for being a great dad to our three wonderful kids. This gratitude that I felt may not be uttered most often but just want to let you know that all your efforts were never put to waste and were definitely appreciated. You have always been there for us, most especially on times of difficulties and trials. God bless on all your endeavors.
After being away for three days, I am now faced with mother's day greetings. Thank you very much friends for including me in your wishes and greetings.
Virtual Gift
Got this gift from Cinderella. I am grateful that you have included me in your list of mommy friends. Here it goes...
A mother's love begins Before the child is born And lasts through time And difficulties And differences And many wounds And days of joy And days of sorrow Winding, wearing Weeping, sharing Changing Until, at the end What remains Is that solid core That began as love Before the child was born
I am so glad to have won for this week's poll on the Filipino Blog of the Week. My happiness got even more intense when this blog was elevated to the Hall of Fame. I could not thank everyone enough for the support.
Anyway, got this lovely digital scrapping from my Bisdak Planet family. And I should say that they are instrumental to the success this blog has attained. Thank you Titah Loloy for the wonderful piece of art and thank you also to the gorgeous and hunky co-members of the planet for your greetings.
Before this day ends, just wanna greet Robert James Woods of the Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 a Happy Birthday. He is now 25 years old. I would like to share these banners. . . thanks to Photo Impact. Making these stuff was made easy, too bad my trial version is now over.
