1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children’s Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I’d be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I’d like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year.

4. Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasmtime, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren’s ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

5. life. love. family. work. travel: Christmas won’t be the same again for our family this year. my eldest sister and her family is migrating to the US. a few years ago, my elder sister migrated to holland with her two kids. my ate from holland might not come home this Christmas and would probably just spend Christmas with our ate in the US. i hope and i pray wherever we are, we will still feel the spirit of Christmas within our family. i also pray that my parents won’t get too much affected of this change. they’re already old and i’m afraid that loneliness might affect their health. i hope my brother and i and our own families could cheer them up in the coming days and could keep the usual happy Christmas spirit in our homes.
5. Me, Myself and I : I wish that I could donate something in a charity or for anyone who badly needs a help this year. And of course, WORLD PEACE!
6. In this Game of Life : I wish poverty will be alleviated to those who are suffering from it. I pray that kids all over the world, especially those who are supressed and abused to be spared from harm and sickness. And those who are affected of any wars will be spared from violence. We will continue with our yearly family tradition of spending time and our gifts to the babies and kids at Cribs Foundation.

7. Angel's Heaven: I wish I could sponsor a Mcdo party for the kids in Noah's Ark. I wish there will be no more orphans and all kids will be loved by their parents.

8. Complex Life: I wish the war in Mindanao would end. I pity those soldiers and rebels who lost their lives because of the chaotic situation there. I also pity the innocent people who are greatly affected. I wish we could finally live in a peaceful world.

9. Irresistible Fascinations: I wish that people would understand the true meaning of the Christmas season, so that peace and harmony would eventually follow.

My answer: I always loved to cook, but i guess cooking really hates me. I am not blessed with this skill so that left me to stay out of the kitchen. Washing clothes could be tolerable, but my back would start to ache after 5 minutes or so, so better drop it! Thank goodness, I have a nanny to do those things.

Ahhhh...Love Life!

Someone in the person of Vhiel tagged me with a very interesting Q&A portion about lovelife and dating. I wonder what's with these kind of tags but it really appeals to me so much, and I had a great time trying to figure out my answers and jot them down here.

1. When was your first kiss and where?

Sometime in the year 1998, my bf (and hubby now!) stole a kiss after he sent me home.

2. When was your first real relationship and how long did it last?

I don't know if I have 'not' real relationships before but I just consider them crushes and flings. My first real relationship is the one with my hubby, and I am in high hopes that this would last until lifetime.

3. What age are you allowed to date?

Actually I was not imposed any rule on dating way back, as far as I can recall. But I started dating when I was in college, around 17 I think.

4. What's the craziest thing you did (for love) when you were a teenager?

Hmmm...my teenage years were fun-filled and crazy indeed, but anything for love? Hmmm...again.

5. How long was your longest relationship and what's the secret?

This question is a piece of cake. It's definitely with my hubby... we were together for 10 years (7 years in marriage and 3 years as bf/gf). There's no secret about the longevity, and the process of acquiring a lasting relationship is still ongoing. But one thing is for sure, open communication, understanding and God-centeredness are truly great ingredients.

6. How long did you date before you decided to settle down?

Please refer to my answer on question # 5 (haha!).

7. How did you know he was the ONE?

I just felt it. Period.

8. Now, at what age will you allow your kid(s) to date?

Depends on their level of thinking...but ideally I would still prefer if they finish their studies first.

9. When it comes to your kids dating, will you be a cool parent or a strict parent?

I'm definitely cool. . . but I would also not fail to give constant guidance and advices. My hubby would be strict I think (haha!).

10. What piece of advice can you give to your child when they start dating?

Never give their all until nothing's left of them. And think about their future because their parents couldn't be there with them all the time.

Cancer is one cause of millions of deaths around the world and Breast Cancer is the 2nd common type of cancer next to lung cancer. Let's save lives by spreading this tag.

• The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman's mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.
• Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, delaying pregnancy until after age 30 or never becoming pregnant, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.

Here's a tag from Dette and Joy, asking for some random facts about myself. Well, here they are (this got me thinking hard gurls...) :

1. I am super afraid of cockroaches. When I see one, I wouldn't feel at ease until I see them killed.
2. I love dancing. Those who knew me well, no further explanations for this.
3. I love ampalaya (bitter gourd). Every dish with ampalaya is really a favorite of mine.
4. I am overweight and at the moment I am making an effort to lose those pounds. Somehow, my efforts paid off but hardly evident (so better exert more!).
5. I tend to be a negative thinker, which I am trying to overcome. That is why I have many fears in life (bad!).
6. I love accounting...and if ever I will be asked to go back to college, I would still take up the same course.
7. I am not crazy with beef dishes, but I love corned beef!
8. I am so into fashion updates...although I may not be able to apply it to myself since I am fat (poor me!).
9. I am a regular forumer at Pinoy Exchange.
10. I am a mother of three and happily married.
