Photo Impact
I should say that I am a frustrated artist. I remembered during my childhood days, I was always trying to draw something...but unfortunately, the drawing was far from what I have in mind. I always admire other people who are gifted with such craft, a cousin, a classmate, or a friend. But then, my desire to excel in the field of graphics vanished to thin air...
Just last year, I became a frequent forum poster of ABS-CBN forums and PEX, all because of being a Roicynatic (Robert-Saicy fanitic). Since then, the artist inside of me (whatever what was left, if there was any) felt the urge to try my hand in making fanarts or banners. Thanks to a cyber friend, and she gave me the idea to use either Photo Impact or Photoshop to make such stuff.
I tried to download the trial versions... since I still could not afford the full package. Sad to say, the Photoshop was too large a file, even the trial version, so I was having a hard time downloading it. Luckily though, Photo Impact came to my rescue and off I went to graphics...
So here are the fruits of my labor...(since I tried hard to learn them).
I even made some for my loved-ones...

Mmmm.... Potato Salad
I received this recipe via email from Spark People, where I used to register in order to monitor my progress in weight loss. Somehow, I have managed in the first few weeks but lately, all my efforts were to no avail.
Anyways, this recipe really interests me, since I am a lover of potato salads. I will let my husband prepare this stuff soon...
To prepare the Garden Potato Salad, here are the procedures and ingredients:
INGREDIENTS
3 lb. (about 6 large) potatoes, boiled in jackets, peeled and cut into 1/2" cubes
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup sliced green onion
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
3/4 cup skim milk
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, place potatoes, celery, green onion, and parsley.
2. Meanwhile, in a blender or food processor, blend cottage cheese, milk, lemon juice, vinegar, celery seed, dill weed, dry mustard, and white pepper until smooth. Chill for 1 hour.
3. Pour chilled cottage cheese mixture over vegetables; mix well. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving.
Bon appetit!

Congrats Nurses...
Yesterday, we had lunch over my aunt's house, and I asked my father before we went what the occasion was. He said that Jocelyn (my cousin's wife) passed the Nursing Board Exam and my aunt wanted to have a thanksgiving get-together. Hmm... at least I have someone I know who passed.
To all the passers... a warm congratulations and wishing you a brighter and wider horizon in the future.

Kids' Entertainment
I am just amazed how drawn my kids are to television. I could no longer watch my favorite tv shows because all my kids watch their faves and unfortunately, their favorite programs were shown just as the shows that I wanted to take a glimpse to are also shown. Sigh!
So, what do my kids watch lately? There are so much stuff they watched on tv... they surf from channel to channel and memorized the time schedules the shows are gonna shown. Here are some of the boob tube programs that made their eyes glued to the television for countless hours....
Mr. Bean
Tom and Jerry
Dora the Explorer
Pingu
Shaun the Sheep
Spongebob Squarepants
There are still other programs my kids are fond of... which has somehow made me stick to it too... like High School Musical, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Hannah Montana, Blue's Clues, Hi Five, Kim Possible and most especially Totally Spies! I wouldn't miss a single episode of this program...
Having my children watch television may be beneficial in terms of peace and harmony at home. Because when their favorite show is on, they would behave themselves and just sit on the couch and watch... unlike when they have nothing to busy themselves on... then, everything would not be in place. However, too much watching also hinders the development of children relative to the oral communication skills of the child.

Top 3 on Wish List
My top three fave things at the moment includes the following:
Cellphone
My cellphone was stolen about three weeks ago and now I am stuck with an old and outdated one. I was so clueless so as placing my cellphone in my backpack, not caring that one may actually and skillfully open it without me knowing. The cellphone I am using right now is an old one, but thank goodness it still is functional...(lol!). I am scouting for new ones and hopefully if I am financially able, I will get one of these.....
Nokia E51
After several months of going ga-ga over Havaianas, I have decided to look for something closed yet stylish and sporty. I have browsed though the net and found this shoes from Lacoste and I really want to have them. It may be impossible for now to have them due to financial constraints, but I'm keeping my hopes high. We never know.....
I should say that bags are one of my weaknesses, and after browsing through some online sites that features bags, I am rooting for this black Guess bag and again hoping that sooner I could have this on my own.
Well, that was only three of the things that I am dying to get for myself....

Sigh.
The observations we have noted were material to warrant a qualified opinion on the financial statements, since most of the accounts affected are those that are substantial and makes the most of the agency's assets. Even their income statement accounts have some misstatements, but then I do hope adjustments would be immediately effected to display a fair presentation.
For now, I may render a sigh of relief... for audit execution is over. But, since our audit coverage is only until October of last year due to year end reports not yet completely done, then we still have some continuations to be done, although only minimal additions and adjustments.
And since the agency under audit is a large one, consolidation of audit observations is likewise to be done for all its over 40 branches. And this is where the pressure, stress and other unpleasantries come in... Sigh! Is this still a relief?
