Overcoming Stress
Stress usually hits us every now and then, due to pressures on work, financial worries, interpersonal conflicts, physical illnesses and a whole lot more. It is somewhat inevitable every time we encounter all these circumstances. As much as possible, we try to avoid it, but without us knowing, stress has already captured our system and has found its way to our minds.
Of course, it is a common fact that stress is a negative emotion. It makes people feel down and out, despite peer encouragements and all. It makes a person feel unrelaxed.
One better cure for stress or negative emotions is breathing. That may sound very general but this really works. It is the breathe that associates all the agitation in life, its movement commanded by emotions which is released through giving out sighs, or groans.
Thoughts and emotions have a forcible influence on the brain. With each emotion, hormones are released. And so stress, which is a negative emotion, affects the body in a negative way. By learning the natural rhythms of breathing, one can then identify the link between breath and negative emotions and in the process, be able to produce a calming effect and positive outlook.
